Far above the falls of Niagara, one may row down the river and turn
back when he will. But as he goes down further, there comes a point

다음 언제라도 돌아올 수 있다. 그러나 더 아래로 내려가면 다시 돌아올
수 없는 지점이 있다. 문제는 언제 그 지점에 왔는지를 알 수 없다는
것이다. 안전하다고 생각하고 돌아서지만 물살이 세게 그를 몰아
무시무시한 폭포의 절벽으로 떨어지게 한다. 우리가 술을 마시기 시작할
때도 마찬가지다. 어쩔 수 없는 지경에 언제 도달할 지 미리 알 수가 없다.
