" Black and beautiful "이란 slogan을 내걸고 흑인들의 자존심 회복운동
을 펼치기도 했었죠.
- negro 는 모욕적인 의미가 약간 있습니다.
- 요즘은 "출신 지역"이름을 붙여서 "Africa American = (Afr.American)"
라고 부르기도 합니다.

단원에게도 계속 이어졌다고 하는군요. 여기에서 유래 된 말
이며 예전부터 내려오던 흑인 차별 사상도 자연스럽게 내포된

John Brown, the hero of an American Negro folk song, was born in 1800 in Connecticut, USA.
His father was against slavery and an agent of the Underground Railroad, which secretly helped runaway slaves to reach Canada.
At that time, slavery was a usual thing in the southern states of America.
Slaves could be bought on the open market and sold again.
Husbands and wives, mothers and children were sold to different masters.
John was only nine years old when he saw a black slave beaten to death.
He couldn't understand why black people were treated unfairly.
He decided to do the same thing as his father.
미국 흑인 민요의 대가인 John Brown은 1800년에 Connecticut에서 태어났다.
그의 부친은 노예 제도에 반대했으며, 도망가는 노예들이 Canada에 도착하도록 은밀하게 도움을 주는 Underground Railroad라는 단체의 요원이었다.
그 당시에, 노예 제도는 미국의 남부에서 일상적인 것이었다.
