Linda was walking home from work one day last month, when she saw a man who was trying to break into a car.
She asked him what he was doing.
Then he said to her, "Get lost!"
She ran to a nearby shop and asked the owner to call the police, which he did immediately.
When she went outside again, she saw that both the thief and the car had gone.
About ten minutes later, a police car came.
Linda gave a description of the thief.
She said that he looked about twenty-five years old.
A few days later she found out that the thief had been caught and that the car had been returned to its owner, undamaged.
Linda was glad to be able to help.
