이 두 단어를 terms and condition이라고 병렬해서 강조하는
경우도 있습니다. 「현금으로 지불한다」는 ay in cash이지만,
「수표로 (신용장으로) 지불한다」일 때에는 pay by cheque
(letter of credit) 처럼 by로 됩니다. Is there a possibility
~?는 Is it possible ~?과 같 ?「~의 가능성이 있는가」이며 그
대답으로는 There is a good (strong) possibility ~, There is
remote (slim) possibility ~., There is no possibility ~ 로
가능성이 강한 쪽에서 약한 쪽으로라는 여러가지 표현이

알아둘 일
지불에는 현금과 수표 등의 지불 수단과 기간의 문제, 일시불인지
할부인지, 몇 회에 걸쳐서 지불하는 것인지 등의 문제를 결정해야
합니다. 일반적으로 국제적 거래에서는 「신용장」 letter of
credit, LC의 개설이 행해지고 있습니다. 즉, 구매자 측의 거래
은행이 지불에 대한 책임을 진다는 취지의 서류를 작성하여
이것을 매도자 측에 교부하고, 그것을 수취한 매도자 측은 지불
보증을 받은 셈이 되기 때문에 안심하고 제품을 출하할 수
있습니다.
