자기가 얻지 않는다면 나쁜 마음을 먹은 사람이 그것을
이용해서 credit card의 번호를 가지고 전화 주문을 받는
상품을 살 수 있기 때문에 반드시 그 용지를 돌려달라고 해서

가리키고 drop은 '보낸다'는 뜻이다. Let's keep in touch.도
같은 뜻인데 소식 끊지 말고 서로 touch(연락,접촉)를
유지하자는 뜻이다. 떠나는 사람이 I'll be in touch라고
하면 '종종 연락할께'란 뜻이 된다.

* 침대 광고에 이런 것이 있다. 여자가 잠옷 바람으로 침대 위에
누워 있는 그림 밑에 Sleep on it이라고 크게 써 놓은 것이다.
이것을 두 가지 뜻으로 해석해 보면 글자 그대로
'그 위에서 주무십시오'라고 해석할 수도 있고 둘째로는
'잘 생각해 보십시오'라고 해석할 수도 있다. 왜냐하면
sleep on it은 '어떤 일을 (하룻밤 자면서)심사 숙고하다'
즉 Think it over와 같은 뜻이기 때문이다. think twice란
말도 있는데 이것은 '두 번 생각하라' 즉 '다시 한번 생각해보라'는
말이다. reconsider it도 말도 같은 뜻이다.

[다음 주는 모두 예정되어 있습니다] 라고 할 때는 [ I'm afraid
I'm fully booked next week.] 이다. 사람을 만나거나 무슨 부탁
을 할 때에는 사전에 반드시 약속을 해야 안다. 이러한 약속을
appointment 라고 하며 [약속하다]는 make an appointment 라고 한
다. 약속을 하고 면해갔을 때는 반드시 [My mame is -. I have an
appointment to see - at ... 라고 비서나 접수계에 말해야 한다는
것을 알아두자. 이런경우 처럼 면회의 약속은 promise가 아니다.
