→「~ 하여 미안합니다/ ~해 주셔서 감사합니다」는 It was nice [kind] of+사람+to부정사를 사용해서 표현할 수도 있다.

→ 사람의 성질을 나타내는 형용사 kind, nice, wise, stupid, foolish 등이 올 때에는 It is+형용사+of+사람+to부정사와 같은 패턴으로 한다.

[比較] regardless, irregardless, irrespective
구어에서는 regardless 대신에 irregardless를 써서, I will leave irregardless of what he says라고 하는 수가 있지만, 무식한 비표준적인 용법이다. 이 말은 regardless와 그와 같은 뜻인 irrespective를 혼동한 데서 온 것이다.
regardless와 irrespective에는 언제나 of가 따른다.
The arrangements must be made regardless of (or irrespective of) his personal feelings in the matter.
regardless를 부사로 쓰는 경우는 영국·미국에 모두 있다. 속어 용법으로 간주한다.

regret, sorry, deplore, lament
regret는 공식적인(formal) 말이다.

보통 쓰이는 sorry만큼 흔히 쓰인다. be sorry는 일반적인 말이고, I'm sorry I made you cry.의 경우처럼 특히 속요(俗謠)에서 감상적인 분위기를 감돌게 하는 말이다.
deplore는 regret deeply를 의미하며, 비난하는 뜻을 품고 있다.
He deplored the conduct of compatriots in European cities.
이른바 「분노에 의해서라기 보다는 비탄의 뜻으로」흔히 쓰이는 말로, 보통 짐짓 겸양과 위선의 의미가 함축된 말이다. lament는 무엇에 대해서 슬픔 또는 유감을 느끼거나 표시하는 것을 의미한다. deplore와 달리 슬픔이 외면적인 목소리로 드러나는 것이다.

Jacky, you've obviously done a number of films and won accolades for it, but what takes precedence, singing or acting?

I love singing.

If I have to choose one between singing and acting, I would choose singing, of course it's more personal.

But I like acting, too.
