The companies caught, such as Bobby Hwang, Rose Factory, HJ, J. Kim Company, and Diascandle, were identified as companies actually operated by Instagram influencers.
식약처는 "다이어트·미세먼지·탈모·여성건강·취약계층 등 소비자와 밀접한 5개 분야에서 10만명이 넘는 인플루언서가 활동하는 SNS 광고를 집중 점검한 결과"라며 "153개 허위·과대광고 게시물을 발견해 방송통신위원회에 차단조치를 요청했다"고 밝혔다.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said, "The result of intensive inspection of SNS advertisements with more than 100,000 influencers in five areas closely related to consumers such as diet, fine dust, hair loss, women's health, and the vulnerable," and added "we found 153 false and exaggerated advertisements and asked the Korea Communications Commission to block them."
