To guarantee normal resource-preserving production for material affluence and benefits, it is essential to develop a fundamentally new technology to bring about a geometrical growth of knowledge, an effective search for it, and its preservation distribution, expansion and settlement. The changes in all the past production of information, typography and distribution and expansion. This has achieved the transformation of information into documents and book-printing and created he telephone, telegraph, radio and television. However, all this technology was unable to participate in creation, reorganization and the process of transforming the meaning of knowledge.

(ANS) A computer can do all its tasks accurately and at speeds that are thousands times faster than the human eye, hand and mind. Nowadays banks can process as many as ten billion checks a year by using an electric data processing system. A computer can confirm airline reservations in seconds. It can correct the course of a spacecraft in flight. Even small computers can add a column of 20,000 five-digit numbers in less than a second. With the help of such computers, scientists now so perform tasks that once took so long that they were practically impossible.

In the process, the explosive cases teetered on the verge of
relegation to the history books. It was at this point that an opposition

The institution of our society, far from being immutable, are in the process of change at this very moment.

All living things, both plants and animals, must feed on other plants or animals.
This process is called a food cycle and green plants are the beginning of this cycle.
Every green plant makes food from the sun's energy and many animals depend directly upon them for food.
These plant eaters are often small animals.
At the next stage in the food cycle are the animals that eat the plant eaters.

Genes are tiny units of heredity located within every living thing.
In 1953, scientists discovered the structure of DNA, the acid that contains genes in a pattern.
However, scientists were not able to isolate and change individual genes, a process called genetic engineering, until the 1970s.
The first genetically engineered product to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) was insulin.
People with diabetes use insulin to help their bodies process sugars normally.

These experiences have taught me that change, which is an essential part of our life, can have both positive and negative effects.
It may hurt us a little when it occurs,
but if we accept it as a growth process, it will bring benefits in the long run.
My best advice is to “go with the flow.”
Keep an open mind and be optimistic.

The process of culture shock is so predictable that its stages have been systematized.
The first is the honeymoon stage, familiar to those of us who love to travel, but never stay in one place long enough to find out what follows.
In the honeymoon stage, the new country and its people seem delightful.
It almost feels more comfortable than home.
Everything is so different and charming, the people are so nice and the customs are so interesting.
Then the bloom comes off the rose.
People start to look shallow, selfish, and stupid.
The different ways of doing things do not seem interesting any more―just boring.
You start to feel exhausted all the time.
Culture shock has set in.

Children's play has been defined as the aimless expenditure of excessive energy.
Many people do not realize, however, that play can foster development in a number of areas.
For example, playing kickball not only helps physical development by promoting gross motor skills, it also cultivates social interaction among peers.
To discuss and agree to the rules of the game, children must use language for communication.
Having fun and playing as a group promotes self-esteem and teaches skills such, teamwork, cooperation, and leadership.
So the next time you see children play, do not think of it as a meaningless activity, think of it as a process of learning.

We know and accept this fact or principle of process in the area of physical things, but to understand it in emotional areas, in human relations, and even in the area of personal character is less common and more difficult.

If you haven't done so already, I, as one of your friends, would like to give you some food for thought:

I hope you will not let the fear of singlehood drive you to make the biggest mistake of your life.
Second, love can be killed.
It can be chipped away, piece by piece, until there is nothing left.
This process can go unnoticed until everything falls apart.
The easiest way to destroy love is to keep taking it and give nothing in return.

In contrast to Socrates, Isocrates considered writing to be an important process in education, and he wrote many speeches, essays, and letters.

By doing this you prevent the normal process of forgetting.
For example, people good at remembering names often repeat a person's name in the course of their conversation, "I understand your point of view, Frank."

The most important such change, however, was the Industrial Revolution of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Its profound effect on the pattern of social and economic life has shaped the modern world, formed the basis of economic progress, and laid the foundation for the increasing wealth of nations.
Social and economic life, which had changed relatively little before the Industrial Revolution, now began to change rapidly.
Indeed, this process of rapid change has continued to the present day.

Living is the process of continuous rebirth.
The tragedy in the life of most us is that we die before we are fully born.
―Erich Fromm

Plants are necessary for life on earth.

Books almost inevitably suffer in the process of being made into movies. There
may be scenes in a book that seem to be made for filming, but the preliminary
preparation that gives the scenes their significance is not readily transferable to

There are many situations in which we will do our evaluating silently to

aloud, or we may feel that the subject is too sensitive to respond to
openly. At other times, however, a spoken response can aid the evaluating
process by making us more aware of how we think and what we value.

In general, every achievement requires trial and error. A youth, we need
not feel ashamed of making mistakes in trying to find or win our place in
a social group. It is not easy to learn to fit into a group or to develop
a personality that helps us to fit in. It is somewhat like learning to
play a game like baseball or basketball. We can hardly expect to learn
without making a good many mistakes in the process.

In order to consider all the perspectives of an issue, we must be open to the viewpoints of other people, and be willing to listen and exchange ideas with them.
This process is called a discussion, or dialogue.
That is the only way you can be sure your own position is supported and strong.
Listening to other' points of view should always make us re-examine our own; we may not change our minds, but we will have a more valuable opinion because it has been examined.

Democracy does not mean equal rights under the law or common access to the political process but, more concretely, sharing with others in personal ownership and use of particular commodities.
Consumerism was realized in daily experiences always changing, improving, and being redefined to meet the needs of individuals in their ordinary but still special lives as children and parents, wives and husbands, and in thousands of other roles.

The scientifically valid procedure in language learning involves listening first, to be following by speaking.
Then comes reading, and finally the writing of the language.
This is just the order in which a child learns his mother tongue―first hearing, then speaking; and only after he has acquired considerable facility in understanding and speaking, does he learn to read and write.
However, most traditional methods of teaching languages to adults have almost completely reversed this process―first comes reading, closely linked with writing.
Then, after one is supposed to have acquired a knowledge of reading and writing, classes are offered in conversation.

Man has long existed on this earth as a single species.
Apparently throughout human wanderings separate groups of men have stayed long enough in a given area to produce the kind of subspecies called a race.
Thus white, yellow, and Negro races developed, but they did not remain "pure," or, put in another way, man is and long has been a mongrel.
Hardly does he get started breeding a variant that might become a new species when others come into the group, or else the group forces itself onto others, and the process is ended.

Since 1980, research on the dinosaurs' disappearance has focused on the 125-mile crater and the 10-mile-wide asteroid believed to have created it.
Dust from the impact was thought to have blocked out sunlight for years.
Now, however, drilling around the Yucatan crater indicates the presence of carbonates and sulfate rocks.
The new theory is that these were vaporized by the asteroid impact, a process that would have released chemicals that produce sulfur and the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide.
The sulfur compounds would be especially toxic, Sharpton said.
"They do nasty things.
They form little globules that persist in the atmosphere for some considerable amount of time―decades to a hundred years," he said.
"They also mix with water in the atmosphere and produce sulfuric acid."

The news media take pride in purveying information to help people be active and involved in public matters,
but, ironically, the media contribute insidiously to passivity by lulling people into accepting news reports as the last word on a subject.
To attract and impress audiences, reporters use techniques to enhance their credibility, coming across as more authoritative than they really are and making their stories seem comprehensive and complete.
Slickness in presentation works against the journalistic ideal of promoting intelligent citizen involvement in the political and social process by seeming to be so complete that nothing more can be said.
The result is called the syndrome of well-informed futility.
Readers, listeners and viewers feel satisfied that they‘re fully informed, which becomes an end in itself.
This phenomenon works against democracy, which is predicated on citizen involvement, not apathy.

In digital recording, an electric current representing a sound is described by a code made up of the numbers 0 and 1 (binary code).
This is done by measuring the current at different points, a process called sampling.
The more points that are sampled, the closer to the original sound the recording is when played back.
This produces a high-fidelity recording, although errors may occur very rarely.

I believe the reflective portion of mankind is divided into two groups:
those who are interested in people and care about them; and those who are interested in ideas.
The first group forms the pragmatists and tends to make the best statesmen.
The second is the intellectuals;
and if their attachment to ideas is passionate, and not only passionate but programmatic, they are almost certain to abuse whatever power they acquire.
For, instead of allowing their ideas of government to emerge from people, shaped by observation of how people actually behave and what they really desire, intellectuals reverse the process, deducing their ideas first from principle and then seeking to impose them on living men and women.

Although few in number, there are some pioneers in Korea that research how to teach students about the economy and have fun in the process of learning.

In the first conception, truth takes shape in the mind of the observer: it is his imaginative grasp of what might be true that provides the incentive for finding out, so far as he can, what is true.
This viewpoint is supported by other scholars of science.
For instance, Greenwald, et al. (1986) argue that: "One's preliminary hypotheses have a decided advantage in the judgement process."
According to the second conception, truth resides in nature and is to be got at only through the evidence of the senses: apprehension leads by a direct pathway to comprehension, and the scientist's task is essentially one of discernment, (Medawar, 1991).

The ubiquity of controversy is succinctly captured by Kuhn (1977) in his objection to the consensual approach:
the emergence of new scientific ideas "requires a decision process which permits rational men to disagree, and such disagreement would generally be barred by the shared algorithm which philosophers have generally sought.
If it were at hand, all conforming scientists would make the same decision at the same time."

Gas molecules are smaller than the wavelength of visible light.
If light bumps into them, it acts differently.
When light hits a gas molecule, some of it may get absorbed.
After awhile, the molecule radiates (releases, or gives off) the light in a different direction.
The color that is radiated is the same color that was absorbed.
The different colors of light are affected differently.
All of the colors can be absorbed.
But the higher frequencies (blues) are absorbed more often than the lower frequencies (reds).
This process is called Rayleigh scattering.
(It is named after Lord John Rayleigh, an English physicist, who first described it in the 1870's.)

Before the mid-nineteenth century, people in the United States ate most
foods only in season. Drying, smoking, and salting could preserve meat
for a short time, but the availability of fresh meat, like that of fresh
milk, was very limited; there was no way to prevent spoilage. But in
1810 a French inventor named Nicolas Appert developed the
cooking-and-sealing process of canning.
Nicolas Appert

In the speed of its execution, the righting of a tumbling cat resembles
a magician's trick. The gyrations of the cat in midair are too fast for
the human eye to follow, so the process is obscured. Either the eye must
be speeded up, or the cat's fall slowed down for the phenomenon to be
observed. A century ago the former was accomplished by means of
high-speed photography using equipment now available in any pharmacy.
But in the nineteenth century the capture on film of a falling cat
constituted a scientific experiment.

People are engaged in education from infancy on. Education, then, is a
very broad, inclusive term. It is a lifelong process, a process that
starts long before the start of school, and one that should be an
integral part of one's entire life.

Schooling, on the other hand, is a specific, formalized process, whose
general pattern varies little from one setting to the next. Throughout a
country, children arrive at school at approximately the same time, take
assigned seats, are taught by an adult, use similar textbooks, do
homework, take exams, and so on. The slices of reality that are to be
learned, whether they are the alphabet or an understanding of the
workings of government, have usually been limited by the boundaries of
the subject being taught. For example, high school students know that
they are not likely to find out in their classes the truth about
political problems in their communities or what the newest filmmakers
are experimenting with. There are definite conditions surrounding the
formalized process of schooling.

Basic to any understanding of Canada in the 20 years after the Second
World War is the country's impressive population growth. For every three
Canadians in 1945, there were over five in 1966. In September 1966
Canada's population passed the 20 million mark. Most of this surging
growth came from natural increase. The depression of the 1930's and the
war had held back marriages, and the catching-up process began after
1945.

Some users swear by the tapes. Melissa Farrell of Lake Wellenpaupack,
Pa., had always thought that reading aloud would affect the unborn. When
she became pregnant, the electronic fetal-improvement system seemed a
good way to give daughter Muryah Elizabeth “as much of an opportunity
as possible and see if it would stimulate her thought process.” Though
only 21 months old, Muryah plays with toys designed for youngsters twice
her age, Farrell says. In Kirkland, Wash., Lisa Altig is using the tapes
for a third time. Her two child- ren, Natalie, 3, and Richie, 18 months,
were relaxed babies who now “seem to pick up on things fast” says
their mom. “They have an energy for learning.”

The potter uses one of the Earth's most basic materials, clay. Clay can
be found almost anywhere. Good pottery must be free from all small
stones and other hard materials that would make the potting process
difficult. Most North American artisan-potters now purchase commer-
cially processed clay, but some find the clay they need right in the
earth, close to where they work.

Chaplin prefers to entertain rather than lecture. Scenes of factory
interiors account for only about one-third of the footage of Modern
Times, but they contain some of the most pointed social commentary as
well as the most comic situations. No one who has seen the film can ever
forget Chaplin vainly trying to keep pace with the fast-moving conveyor
belt, almost losing his mind in the process. Another popular scene
involves an automatic feeding machine brought to the assembly line so
that workers need not inter- rupt their labor to eat. The feeding
machine malfunctions, hurling food at Chaplin, who is strapped into his
position on the assembly line and cannot escape. This serves to
illustrate people's utter helplessness in the face of machines that are
meant to serve their basic needs.
Modern Times

Joseph Schumpeter was an unusual economist. Most economists have tried
to reduce business cycles, but Schumpeter believed that constant change
was the strength of capitalism. In constantly developing new products
and new ideas, entrepreneurs cause the destruction of old products and
ideas. Schumpeter thought that this process, which he called creative
destruction, causes the business cycles that are part of a capital
system. He believed that business cycles are helpful to the economy in
the long run.

In this process a lake, originally crystal clear, becomes a swampy-smelling
body of water full of plant growth called algae. The main requirements for
this plant growth, in addition to carbon dioxide and water, are nitrate
and phosphate.

One of the most important weapons used during the Second World War was not a
weapon used against people, but rather a drug used against disease. The wartime
use of penicillin saved thousands of lives, In the First World War, for example,
pneumonia was responsible for eighteen percent of all the deaths in the United
States army. In the Second World War, the rate went down to less than one
percent. In addition, penicillin was instrumental in kepping wounds from getting
infected and in helping to speed the healing process of those wounds that did
become infected.

Anther medical technique that has recently become popular is hypnosis. In
sleep, a loss of awareness occours; in hypnosis there is a highly concentrated
but relaxed awareness, which cna be like daydreaming. When used as
"hypnoanesthesia," hypnosis does not stop the pain process; rahter, the
perception of the pain is altered. Only patients who are able to undergo deep
hypnosis, about very ill patients with relief they can olonger obtain from drugs
or surgery.

On the other hand, in the course of the evolution of birds from Reptiles,
there was a succession of changes in the bone, muscle, and skin structures of
the animals. This wholesale restructuring of some reptiles over a period of
thousands of years equipped the animals to escapse their predatores and to find
food more easily. But the evolutionary process did not stop there. Once adapted
to marine life, the winds changed to flippers and their feathers to a waterproof
covering, thus suiting the birds for a semiaquatic existence.

She may be happy eating the first one, but over time she'll grow tired of candy and her teeth will rot.
I think we should view the search for happiness not as a process of immediate satisfaction but as a means to pursue our fundamental needs.
