You're exactly as I imagined you would be.

Don Quixote was the lovable, idealistic, impractical old man
who imagined himself a knight in Cervantes's novel Don Quixote.

[比較] suppose, guess, imagine, assume, infer
I am able to suppose how upset you are just from the expression in your eyes.(당신 눈빛만 보고도 당신이 얼마나 당황하고 있는지 짐작할 수 있네.)/ Can you guess how old I am?
He imagines that people don't like him.
He had imagined that he had heard a scraping noise.
assume 역시 take as a fact or as true without proof라는 뜻인데, suppose보다는 formal style에서 쓰인다.
Assuming it rains tomorrow, what shall we do?

Another occasion, while staying at an inn, the Don attacks a
row of wineskins and imagines that the wine which spurts out is blood.

He imagines a visit from Ben, with whom he discusses the feasibility of suicide,
to provide Biff with twenty thousand dollars in insurance money.

I've heard a lot about you.
Example=================
I haven't met your husband, but I've heard a lot about him.
We heard a lot about you from your mother.
==================
I wanted to meet you ever since I heard about you.
You are exactly as I imagined you would be.

* I always try to picture in my mind what really happened.
I always wanted to play it oer in my head.
I imagin the scene in my dream.

* I can't believe I'm actually going to meet them.
I've been waiting for this time for so long.
I've always imagined what the first meeting would be like.
I'll remember this meeting for the last of my life.

So I think that tourists coming to this city will eventually go back home and face this question.
"How is the toilet in Beijing?"
And they will say, "Wonderful! More than you imagined."
And this is a good thing because with toilets, come tourists.
* with toilets, come tourists

When we moved from an apartment to a house in the suburbs, we found that being a homeowner entails more responsibilities than we had imagined.

Reporter: Where did you get ideas for your fantasy movies?
Mr.Ray:Well, I had all the fears that a lot of kids have.
I was frightened of the dark, of the wind in the trees.
I imagined horrible monsters living in my bed.
Even Snow White gave me a nightmare.
But as I grew older, this kind of fear gradually changed to fascination.
This fascination gave me inspiration for my movies.
Reporter: How did you get interested in making movies?
Mr.Ray:My father had a movie camera.
He would take pictures of my family.
At twelve, I borrowed my father's camera and started making movies:
writing scripts for my family and filming family events.
That's how I started my first movie.
You know what? Actually, I didn't ever give that camera back to my father.

But what I really worry about is that the new language used by the youth on the Internet is becoming even more common than proper Korean.
The strange language has already made its way into the children’s diaries and homework.
When they become grown-ups, two different languages might be used in Korea.
They might think Korean used by older generations is an alien language.
It’s really scary just imagining it.

When one has been without a certain pleasure for a number of years, one is accustomed to finding on returning to it that it is not quite so delightful as one has imagined.
In the years of abstinence one had built up too glowing a picture, and the reality turns out to be something much more commonplace.
Pleasant, yes; but, after all, nothing out of the ordinary.

We know very little about Shakespeare, because, in his days, historical stories
were devoted to the lives of kings. It was beyond imagining that a common actor
would be of interest in the future. Similarly in Scott Joplin's lifetime, it
never occurred to anyone that history would want to know what a songwriter
- especially a black one - was like.

Despite your imagined freedom, you are chained always by the laws of
cause and effect. You may be free to leap from a skyscraper or to refrain from
eating for a week, but you are not free to escape the consequences.

* vision 통찰력; 혜안 power of seeing or imagining, looking ahead, grasping
the truth that underlies facts:
the vision of a prophet

*grievance 불만; 불평 real or imagined cause for complaint or protest:
The trade union leader spoke about the grievances of the workers.

I am not a mountaineer, but I love to hike and be outdoors. It was hot
that day, so climbing the mountain was much more difficult than I had
imagined. It took about six hours to reach the top. But the sweeping
beautiful view made the hard climb worthwhile. That night we cooked out,
and then shared a small cabin with other climbers. We awoke the next
morning to a magical sunrise, which made me understand why Korea is often
called "Land of the Mrning Calm."

Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life:
the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.
I have sought love, first, because it brings ecstasy―ecstasy so great that I would often have sacrificed all the rest of life for a few hours of this joy.
I have sought it, next, because it relieves loneliness―that terrible loneliness in which one shivering consciousness looks over the rim of the world into the cold unfathomable lifeless abyss.
I have sought it, finally, because in the union of love I have seen, in a mystic miniature, the prefiguring vision of the heaven that saints and poets have imagined.

This was the inspiration for Arthur Conan Doyle's 'Lost World,'
an imagined prehistoric land.
Here, strange towers of sandstone have been sculptured over the millennia by battering wind and torrential rain.

On Monday morning I visited the Colosseum, where Christians were thrown to the lions almost two thousand years ago.
As I stood in the center of the Colosseum, I imagined how frightened the Christians must have been as they faced the lions.

Believe me,
of all the ways I ever imagined this moment in my
life being,

This is going to make waves like you never imagined.
Thank you.

So this neighbor-lady...
who told me that she heard a gunshot
and a woman's scream inside your apartment?
What, she just imagining things?
It was probably our TV.

Maybe it's just some sort of sick joke.
Well, if it was a joke, it was in very poor taste.
No, this was serious. I know it was.
We got to find out what was going on.
Let's say we do. There's a chance we're not going to like what we find.
Well, isn't it worse to be in the dark?
I mean, imagining she did all these horrible things.
It's the age-old question, isn't it?

Listen, I'm sorry about Mike.
I know how much you like him.
Aah, maybe it's my fault.
Maybe I just imagined an entire relationship with this man that didn't exist.

You know, I have spent hours, days, years,
imagining myself half-naked in a room with three women.
The reality is so much better.

In the story which we imagined the future in just 6 years, the name of the financial companies we know did not appear.

During a live broadcast, Bong-joon asked Seo-yoon, "Have you ever imagined another person when you have sex with your boyfriend?"
