* Do you take children?
Adults Only
들어가 물어볼 필요가 없다. available right now는
How much will the earnest money deposit be?

Put down의 여러 가지 뜻.
How much did you put down?
여기서 put down은 '얼마를 down payment로 지불한다.'
가구점에서 산 의자를 배달해 온 배달원에게 put it down here.
Don't put me down because I'm an Oriental.
look down on도 같은 뜻으로 쓰인다. 또 put down은 장부에
Don't forget to put it down in your checkbook
We'll put you down for Friday 2 P.M.
The Chinese goverment ruthlessly put down the student uprising.

It's in the ballpark.
about란 말을 써서 about how many? 또는 about how much?
Approximately how many? 또는 Roughly, how much?,
Give me a rough figure, Give me a ballpark figure
'대충맞다'는 말도 just about right라고도
하고 It's in the ball park 라고도 한다.

Q 3
값이 얼마인지 묻는 표현으로는 'How much is it?'
A 3
How much is it for a month?
How much is it monthly?
How much do you charge for a month?
How much do you charge monthly?
cash or charge?
Charge it to my BC cards

The size of a movie popcorn container can affect how much you eat.
People eat more if portion sizes are bigger:

Our experience of life comes through our five senses.
Each sense gives us specific and useful information about our physical world.
Imagine for a moment that you didn't have the sense of smell.
How much less rich your world would be.
In our traditional work culture we act as if we have only one sense, either visual or auditory.
Most of us are trained to use one of these two senses as our dominant sense, to the exclusion of our other senses.
Learning to use all your senses is a good way to enrich every moment of your life.

A young lawyer began working in our office.
Her first trial was coming up, and she worked diligently on her case.
Several other experienced lawyers occasionally dropped in to see how she was doing and to offer help.
The day before her trial, she mentioned that she wasn't getting much sleep lately with the upcoming trial on her mind.
One of the experienced lawyers overheard and stopped to offer his support.
“Relax,” he said.

The beginning lawyer turned to him and replied with a smile,

To some people, success at their jobs requires effort and struggle.
That is, the harder they work, the more successful they will be.
To others, successful career depends on how much money they make.
Still others think that achieving satisfaction and contentment by working at a job they really like is the prime measure of success.
Reaching a desired position in their profession is another standard of success that some people use.
Success at a job, therefore, means different things to different people.

When I first opened “Body Shop” in 1976
my only object was to earn enough to feed my children.
Today “Body Shop” is a company rapidly growing all around the world.
In the years since I began I have learned a lot.
Much of what I have learned will be found in this book.
It says about how to run a successful business.
It's not a normal business book, nor is it just about my life.
The message is that to succeed in business you have to be different.
In business, as in life, you need to enjoy yourself,
to have a feeling of family and to feel excited by the unexpected things.

We use and abuse chimpanzees at will for medical research, for entertainment, or simply out of personal greed.
Being blind to their suffering, we don't try to understand how similar they are to us.
Chimpanzees nurture their young and mourn their dead.
They have distinct personalities and can express a variety of emotions from love to rage.
Yet for all their similarities, we appear to think little of their pain and suffering if our interests are served.
Watching chimps lying vacant eyed with tubes dangling from their arms,
we seem to enjoy torturing the creatures who look and behave so much like ourselves.

Life is determined by a series of choices, each one building on the one before.
The significance of each individual choice may not seem that great.
When added together, however, all the choices put you where you are.
Most people agonize over the big choices and don't even think about the little ones,
though the little choices are what make the big ones possible.
Little choices such as what to eat and how much exercise to do will eventually determine how long you live.

Writing is one of the greatest inventions in human history.
It helps us to store large amounts of knowledge and to hand them down to future generations in a clear and organized form.
Without it we would know very little about how our ancestors lived.
We would be completely shut off from the great people of the past.
In modern times some means of recording sounds and carrying speech a long way have been invented.
Take, for example, the tape recorder and the telephone.
As a result, it may now be regarded as much less important than before.

As we drove home, Dad did not say a word.
With both hands on the wheel, he stared at the dirt road.
My older brother, Robert, was also silent.
He leaned his head back and closed his eyes.
When I opened the front door to the hut, I stopped.
Everything we owned was packed in cardboard boxes.
I sat down on a box.
The thought of having to move to an unfamiliar city brought tears to my eyes.
That night I could not sleep, thinking about how much I hated this move.

One of the best ways to learn about maps is to make one of your own.
You may be surprised at how much you learn about your neighborhood.
You will need to choose the area which you want to map out.
Be sure to include symbols, like a picnic table to represent a park or a flag to represent a school.
