Clearly a third question is implicit here as well, namely: in what sense are the 'higher' forms higher?

prerequisite to the becoming of a moral individual is the
abandonment of selfishness and self-interest. This in turn
requires respect for the community over and above
individuals.

개인이 되기 위한 첫 번째 전제조건은 이기적이고 자신의
이익만을 추구하는 태도를 버리는 것이다. 이번에 이것은
개인들로 구성되고 개인보다 우월한 공동체에 대한 존중을 필요로
한다.
