``The statement contains nothing new, falling far short of our

시험을 무효화하고 한의대생들이 다시는 시위를 하지 않도록 정부측에
서 실질적인 한의학 육성방안을 제시해달라는 우리의 요구를 묵살했
다"고 말했다.

``The council has conducted an extensive assessment on 31
schools of medicine, 10 dental colleges and nine schools of
Oriental herbal medicine,'' said the council which represents 164
educational institutes of higher learning across the country.
전국 164개 대학들의 협의체인 한국대학교육협의회는 "전국 31개대
의학과, 10개 치의학과, 9개대 한의학과에 대한 종합평가를 실시했다"
고 밝혔다.

7월 중순 어느 날 나는 내몽고에 갔었다.
야생화로 가득한 끝없는 평원이 펼쳐져 있었다.
1천 종의 야생화 중 5백 종의 약초는 한약을 만드는데 사용된다.
중국 한약의 80%가 이 지역에서 나오는 것들로 만들어진다.
우리일행은 몽고식 텐트에서 머물렀다.
텐트 주변의 초원은 비록 그 종류는 내가 한국에서 알고 있는 그것들과는 달랐지만 물망초로 바다를 이루고 있었다.
그 물망초들의 잎과 줄기는 기울어지고 연약해 보였지만, 철사만큼이나 단단해 보였다.
이것은 건조하고 추운 바람이 부는 긴 겨울날씨로부터 자신들을 보호해주고 봄까지 생존할 수 있도록 해준다.
물망초의 파란 꽃은 ‘별의 이슬'과 같다.
