I was riding my bicycle fast and a truck drove in front of me. When I put
on the brakes, the bike stopped, but I didn't. I recall flying over the
handlebars and slamming into the road head first, my shoulder hitting the
pavement. I was then taken to the hospital and treated. When I woke up, a
nurse said. "You're really lucky." showing me my helmet. It was split in
half. That could have been my head.
