따라서 A train stops라고는 해도 ceases라고는 하지 않는다. 기차에서 나는 소음은 동작으로도 상태로도 취해지므로, 둘 다 쓰일 수 있어, The noise stops(or ceases)처럼 할 수 있다. One stops a car에서 cease를 쓰려면, One ceases driving a car처럼 한다. 또한 stop는 갑작스런 정지, cease는 점차적인 정지를 암시한다. 이를테면 음악회에 나온 연주가에 대해서 He ceased playing이라고 하면 악곡을 끝맺어 「연주를 그치다」의 뜻이 되고, He stopped playing이라고 하면 돌연 무슨 방해가 있어 중단하게 되는 「연주를 그만두다」의 뜻이 된다.
pause는 운동·활동이 일시 정지된 후에 다시 계속될 것을 암시한다.

quit는 stop, cease의 뜻으로 미국에서 아주 흔히 쓰이는 표준어지만, 영국에서는 쓰이지 않고 대신 leave off가 쓰인다. 단, 스코틀랜드·아일랜드의 영어에서는 아직도 이 말이 남아 있다. 본래 이 말은 「놓아주다, 방면하다」(set free, release)의 뜻으로 그 stop란 의미에서도 「방면, 해제」의 뜻이 가끔 암시된다.

장고는 두 개의 머리를 가진 모래 시계 같은 모양을 하고 있는 우리나
라의 대표적인 타악기 입니다.
The name is derived from the words '장'and '고'or stick and drum.
장고라는 이름은 막대기를 뜻하는 '장'과 북을 의미하는 '고'가 합쳐
져서 장고라고 합니다.
It is roughly between 40 and 60 centimeters in length and about
20 to 30 centimeters in diameter.
장고는 길이가 약 40~60 센티미터 정도 되고 또 북머리의 지름은 약
20~30 센티미터 정도 입니다.
It is carved from paulownia wood and this hourglass shaped instr-
ument is entirely hollow.
장고는 오동 나무를 깎아서 만들고 모래시계 모양의 악기의 속은 텅텅
비어 있습니다.
Teh two circular heads of the drum are covered with animal skin
and the heads are laced to each other with cords that zig zag
tween the two areas.
장고의 둥근 두 개의 머리는 동물 가족으로 덮혀 있고 두 표면 사이에
지그 재그 모양으로 실로 엮어 있지요.
These cords can be manipulated by a leather strap to adjust the
head tension and it is the amount of tension which controls the
tone of the drum beat.
가죽을 묶고 있는 이 실은 장고의 머리 팽창을 맞추기 위해서 가죽 끈
으로 조절할 수 있는데 그렇게 함으로써 장단의 음색에 영향을 주게됩
니다.
The drum heads are believed to have been originally made of hors-
eskin. The skin is stretched thin on the right thick on the left.
장구의 머리 부분은 원래 말가죽으로 만들었고 오른 쪽은 얇게 왼쪽은
두Т게 잡아 늘인 것 입니다.
Today the right drum head is made of dog skin or sheep skin while
the left is made of cowhide.
오늘날은 이 장고의 머리는 개나 양 가죽으로 만들고 왼쪽은 소 가죽
으로 만듭니다.
장고is usually placed horizontally in front of the seated drummer
on the floor.
장고는 주로 마루에 앉아 있는 고수의 앞에 수평으로 놓이게 됩니다.
The left drum head is struck by the palm of the left hand while
the right side is struck with a bamboo stick.
장고의 왼쪽 북머리는 왼손바닥으로 치는 반면에 오른 쪽 북머리는 대
나무 채로 칩니다.
The palm of a hand produces a deep soft and hollow sound while
the bamboo stick achieves a sharp stinging and hard sound.
그렇게 해서 손바닥으로 치면 깊고 부드러우면서 공명한 소리를 내고
대나무로 만든 채로 치면 날카롭고 예리하고 딱딱한 소리를 내게 되죠
This instrument is used to privide a stable rhythmic beat and
tempo for other instruments and performers.
이 악기는 다른 악기나 연주자들을 위해서 안정 되고 리듬감있는 장단
과 박자를 만들어 주는데 쓰입니다.
This instruments goes back a long way in history.
이 악기는 역사적으로 오래 거슬러 올라갑니다.
It appeared as early as around 37 B.C. - 668 A.D. during the 고구
려 period.
장고는 서기 전 37년에서부터 서기 668년 경에 고구려 시대에서 그 모
습을 처음 보였습니다.
They are portrayed in many paintings and in artifacts from the신라
period of 57 B.C.- 935 A.D.
B.C. 57년에서 A.D. 935년 사이에 신라 시대의 미술품과 공예품의 등장
하기도 했습니다.
장고 is still very common in Korean folk music.
장고는 여전히 한국의 민속 음악에서 흔히 볼 수가 있습니다.
Contemporaneous Sales

In investigations, the Department normally compares average export prices (or constructed
export prices) to average normal values. The averages normally are based on sales made over the
course of the period of investigation. In administrative reviews of existing antidumping orders,
on the other hand, the Department normally compares the export price (or constructed export
price) of an individual U.S. sale to an average normal value for a "contemporaneous month."

The preferred month is the month in which the particular U.S. sale was made. If, during the
preferred month, there are no sales in the comparison market of a foreign like product that is
identical to the subject merchandise, the Department will then employ a six-month window for
the selection of contemporaneous sales. For each U.S. sale, the Department will calculate an
average price for sales of identical merchandise in the most recent of the three months prior to
the month of the U.S. sale. If there are no such sales, the Department will use sales of identical
merchandise in the earlier of the two months following the month of the U.S. sale. If there are no
sales of identical merchandise in any of these months, the Department will apply the same
progression to sales of similar merchandise.

상무부는 반덤핑조사시 대개 평균수출가격(또는 구성수출가격)과 평균
정상가격을 비교한다. 평균가격은 대개 조사대상기간의 판매실적을 기초
로 한다. 그러나 행정재심의 경우에는 상무부는 대개 개별적인 미국수출
가격(또는 구성수출가격)과 "동일한 시기의 월"의 평균정상가격을 비교한
다. 이때 특정 미국수출이 일어난 바로 그 달을 "동일한 시기의 월"로
사용하는 것이 보통이다. 만일 그 달에 조사대상물품에 대한 동종물품의
판매가 비교시장에서 일어나지 않았을 경우에는 상무부는 동일한 시기의
판매실적을 정하기 위해 6개월 동안의 판매실적을 검토한다. 각각의
미국수출에 대해 미국 수출월 이전의 최근 3개월 동안의 동일물품의
평균판매가격을 계산한다. 그 기간에도 판매실적이 없을 때에는 상무부
는 미국수출월의 다음 2개월 동안의 동일물품의 평균판매가격을 계산한다.
만일 이 기간에도 동일물품의 판매실적이 없을 경우에는 상무부는 유사
물품에 대한 판매에 대해서 위의 방법을 적용하게 된다.
