One day, Marsha went into the forest to pick some berries because she wanted to make a pie for her grandparents.
She soon got lost, so she stopped at a house to ask for help.
Unfortunately, a bear lived there.
He made Marsha stay to clean and cook.
Marsha wondered how she could escape.

She had an idea.
She made some pies and asked the bear to take them to her grandparents' house.
“Don't look in the basket,” she said.
“Don't eat the pies on the way.
I will climb the highest tree in the forest to make sure you don't eat them.”
Marsha

The bear was amazed that Marsha could see him and never looked in the basket.
When he arrived at her grandparents' house, some dogs ran out and chased him.
The bear dropped the basket and ran away.
Marsha jumped out and was free.
Marsha

They were visibly moved and, I might add, have been a lot more attentive to their grandparents since then.

The best response is: "He (or she) resembles both parents."
Please don't mention anything about the baby resembling grandparents.
Neither parent wants to hear that.

A parent decreed one Christmas that she was no longer going to remind her children of their thank-you-note duties.
As a result, their grandmother never received acknowledgments of the generous checks she had given.
The next year things were different, however.
"The children came over in person to thank me," the grandparent told a friend triumphantly.
"How wonderful!" the friend exclaimed.
"What do you think caused the change in behavior?"
"Oh, that's easy," the grandmother replied.
"This year I didn't sign the checks."

Consider the relationships within a family unit made up of a husband, a
wife, and a child. The husband influences his wife and child. The wife
influences her husband and child. The child influences both mother and
father. Add another child. A grandparent. Add an aunt. And an uncle. Add
a cousin. A neighbor. Friends. If we were to make this list longer, we
would end up with an entire society. A society is a network of
relationships among individuals. Each will influence the others, and each
will be influenced by the others.
* end up with - 결국 -로 끝나다

Called indigenous people, they continue the ways of life of their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, who lived on the land.

Some people believe that indigenous peoples can teach the rest of the world important lessons for the survival of the planet and its people.

Education is much more open-ended and all-inclusive than schooling.
Education knows no bounds. It can take place anywhere, whether in the
shower or on the job, whether in a kitchen or on a tractor. It includes
both the formal learning that takes place in schools and the whole
universe of informal learning. The agents of education can range from a
revered grandparent to the people debating politics on the radio, from a
child to a distinguished scientist. Whereas schooling has a certain
predictability, education quite often produces surprises. A chance
conversation with a stranger may lead a person to discover how little is
known of other religions.

Every time I went to the hospital, someone died --

They all went in -- never came out.
So I put it off.
You know, you're not the only one... to put things off.

The early bird catches the worm.

A stitch in time saves nine.
He who hesitates is lost.

We can't pretend we haven't been told.
We've all heard the proverbs,
heard the philosophers,
heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time,
heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day.
Still, sometimes,
we have to see for ourselves.
