Well, let us think it over.
We have some points we need to explore farther.
Please wait till I get instructions from our manager.
I'll discuss the matter with our Seoul office on the telephone tomorrow.
I'm sorry. I'll have to consult with others about this. I'll let you know the conclusion as soon as I can.
As for the price problem, I think we have to reconsider it.

1) 하와이에 들리다: stop (over) at the Hawaiian Islands
2) ~의 돌아오는 길에: on one's way (back) from ~
3) 처음의 예정에는 없었다: was not my first plan [or schedule]; did not arrange
Many young Koreans went to America to see and hear a lot then.
We must try as often as possible to visit foreign countries to get further information about (our) life.
My uncle is well-informed, so I respect him.
You should see more of life while you are young.
ANS 1) It was not my first plan to stop over at the Hawaiian Islands on my way home from America, but while I stayed there (for) a week, I could see and hear a lot.
ANS 2) At first I did not intend to stay at the Hawaiian Islands on my way back from America. But staying there for a week added to my experience [or stock of information].

You are talking over my head.
* 미국인들이 쓰는 회화에서 You've lost me.
그러니까 I don't understand. 또는
I don't know what you are talking about. 또는
I don't get(or dig) it. 또는 I don't follow you.
You are talking over my head.
I don't follow you very well. 또는
Would you mind using simpler words?
This movie is over my head.
It's beyond me도 I don't understand.
I can't do it.

``It is not a complicated case,'' said senior prosecutor Ahn
Kang-min, who heads the investigation. ``We will try to get the
case over as early as possible.''

T : Let's get started. Where were we last class?
S1 : We learned the dialogue on page 40.

Ss : Okay.
T : All right. Then, let's listen to it again.
Now, go on to Unit 5. Listen carefully to the tape.
S2 : Could you play it once more?
T : Sure. Here are some comprehension questions.
S3 : Do we have to do them?
T : I'm afraid you have to.

Jack Wurm was walking along the shore when he saw a bottle on the sand.
As he bent down to pick it up, Jack saw a note inside.
He couldn't believe what he read.
Jack had found a note worth over six million dollars!
The note in the bottle was a will written by a very rich man.
It said that whoever found the bottle would get half of his fortune.
The bottle had been floating in the ocean for twelve years before Jack found it.
Jack Wurm

Once I began writing my essay at 2:30 a.m.
At that time, I was proud of my material I had gathered.
However, after handing in my essay, I began to worry about what I had actually written.
Several days later, my teacher handed back the corrected essays.
Mine came back with red ink all over it.
Not only had I made a lot of spelling mistakes, but I had written strange sentences like, “Jazz, a direct result of hot dogs and hamburgers....”
Needless to say, I did not get a very good grade on that essay.

Question : Are police fair to minorities?
James : Most police do treat minorities fairly.
If one officer makes a mistake, you can read about it everywhere.
Yet, thousands of police ―black, white, men, women―have been killed over the past years.
Betty : Blacks are not treated fairly.
Blacks have been in this country more than 400 years.
Yet, we are still treated as undesirables who should pack their bags and go back to Africa.
That is why we get no respect from the police.
Joe : Most of the time we forget that police are, in fact, people.
And they react in the same way we react.
On the whole they are doing a fine job.
Betty :

If you get a blow-out while you are driving, you should know what to do.
A blow-out is a sudden flat tire.
It can be a very frightening experience, especially if you are traveling at high speeds.
If your car gets a blow out, the first thing to do is to hold very tightly to the steering wheel.
You can easily lose control of the car if you do not have a good hold of the steering wheel.
The next step is to get off the road.
However, you must not try to stop or turn too quickly.
After you check the traffic, you should move over to the side of the road and slow down gradually.
Then you should turn on your flashing lights so other cars can see you.

Jennie Ruiz is a computer genius.
When she was only four years old, she began using her brother's computer.
Just using the computer was not enough for Jennie, though.
Soon, she was making up her own computer games.
She would get an idea for a game.
Then she would write a program for it.
News about Jennie's exciting games spread quickly.
Now, Jennie has her own computer business.
She creates games, and sells them in stores all over the area.
“That's just the beginning,” she says, pointing to a keyboard and screen on her desk.
“Soon I'll be selling the JennieⅠ,” she says.
It's wonderful. And it's just for kids.”
Jennie Ruiz
Jennie

When honeybees fly in a garden, they may seem to skip from flower to flower at random.
Most people don’t know why bees choose one flower over another.
But the bees know why.
In fact, when searching for flowers’ nectar, they follow an exact timetable.
Bees get nectar from dandelions only in the morning.
Around noon, it’s the time for the cornflowers.
In the afternoon, bees take off for the red clover.
Honeybees go to each kind of flower at the time of day when it gives off the most nectar.

“Boys and girls, playtime is over, get back to work.”
Most of us learned early in life that work and play are separate, and that if you are playing you could not possibly be working.
But to have a livable work environment, a certain amount of playfulness or lightheartedness is required.
An innovative environment demands even more playfulness.
Assuming the matter-of-fact attitude may seem more efficient, but it constricts one's capacity to generate new solutions when needed.
The freedom to be playful expands creative opportunities.
The spirit that allows people to wear a peculiar tie or to laugh out loud without fearing what others think is the same spirit that encourages them to consider new ideas.

When I was working in the yard, my four-year-old son, Tommy, came running over to me.
He asked me to get his ball out of a hole.
He said that the ball had rolled into the hole while playing soccer in the driveway.
I tried to reach my hand for it but the hole was too deep.
I brought a long stick, but it was not helpful.
I said to my son, “I'm sorry, but there seems to be no way to get it out.”
Then my son said, “Why don't we float it out?”
We filled the hole with water and, to our great relief and delight, the ball floated to the top!

I've enjoyed having a drink with you, but it's time to quit, okay.

I've fallen off the wagon three times, and it all starts with the idea that I can have a drink or two and keep it under control.

I went a month one time sipping wine and limiting myself to a glass a day.

rehab n.

If anyone tries to sell you an item over the telephone, just say "No, thank you" and hang up without any further conversation.

Reputable firms rarely use this technique for selling―any more than they use door-to-door salesmen.

Let's get it over with.

Peter Thompson, with whom I have a close working relationship, mentioned
your name to me and strongly suggested I contact you. From what Peter
tells me, you are very active in the toy industry and know a number of
sales managers. Peter felt that you might be able to help me make
contacts. Because of new competition, we are anxious to get our products
into the market as soon as possible. Would it be convenient if I called
you next Monday and we arranged a time to talk over lunch?

Oh my heart won't believe that you have left me
I keep telling myself that it's true
I can get over anything you want my love
But I can't get myself over you

Though I try to forget you someday
You're the mirror of my soul.So take me out of my whole
Let me try to go on leavin' right now

Superwoman
Kyran White
Early in the morning
I put breakfast at your table
And make sure that your coffee
Has its sugar and cream
Your eggs are over easy your toast done lightly
All that's missing is your morning kiss
That used to greet me
-
Now you say the juice is sour
It used to be so sweet
And I can't help but wonder
If you're talking about me
We don't talk the way we used to talk
It's hurting so deep
I've got my price I will not cry
But it's making me weak
-
**
I'm not your superwoman
-
I'm not the kind of girl that you can let down
And think that everything's okay
Boy I am only human
This girl needs more than an occasional hug
As token of love from you to me
-
I've found my way through the rush hour
Try to make it home just for you
I want to make sure
That your dinner will be waiting for you
But when you get there
You just tell me you're not hungry at all
You said you'd rather read the paper
And you don't want to talk
You like to think that I'm just crazy
When I say that you've changed
-
I'm convinced I know the problem
You don't love me the same
You're just going through the motions
And you're not being fair
I've got my pride
I will not cry
Still I can't help but care
-
** repeat twice
-
Look into the corners of your mind
I'll always be there for you
Through good and bad times
But I can't be that superwoman
That you want me to be
I'll give my love oh lasting love
If you really tell you're love to me
-
** repeat
-
If you feel it in your heart and you understand me
Stop right where you are
Everybody sing along with me
-
i'm the kind of girl
That can treat you so sweet
But you gotta realize
That you gotta be sweeter to me
I need love
I need just your love
-
** repeat

Did you hear about the serial killer?
Did they catch the suspect?

Call the police!
I want to report an accident.
This is an emergency!
She wasn't involved, was she?
No, she just saw it. But it really upset her.
There was a car accident on Highway 40 last night.
The radio said there was a head-on collision on Highway 40 yesterday.
I ran into her by accident at a department store last week.
The little boy was playing with the gun and fired it into the wall by accident.
His parents are stupid for leaving a gun where he could get it.
I accidentally put sugar on my friend chicken instead of salt.
She'll be late. She had a slight mishap: She spilled coffee on her dress.
Jane inadvertently knocked over the lamp when she hung up her coat.
Did it break?
I raised my hand to hail a taxi and unintedtionally hit a man in the face.
Jack unwittingly killed his goldfish by overfeeding it.
Bad news, I had a fender bender on the way home.

The goal of "ubiquitous computing" is to make technology invisible and, by embedding computers into everyday things, make the things themselves smarter.
But will this lead to dumber people with less control over their technology?
I believe that it won't make people dumber and that everyone should be given an equal opportunity to get smart about less mundane things.

First, we, as individuals, must get over our prejudice and see the thing in every possible way.
A friend who makes lots of mistakes could be so true in his mind.
An idea that appears perfect might not be as it does in other place or in other time.
There is no forever "yes," no forever "no."

E-mail (electronic mail) uses computers for communication. It has
several important advantages over phones and regular mail. The main
advantage of e-mail is that it takes very little time to send and
receive message. From your computer, you can contact someone far away
(or in the next office). Seconds later, they have your message. If they
are at their computer, you can get a response instantly, too. Another
reason people like to use e-mail is that for just a few cents you can
send a message to someone in another part of the world. You don't have
to worry about the time difference or slow mail delivery. Your message
is sent immediately, and your friends or colleagues can send a response
at their convenience. Lastly, e-mail allows you to send a single message
to many people at the same time.

But with more females arriving all the time, it's not over until the fat frog stops singing.

Many people burn coal for heat, but some people keep it for good luck.
How long they keep it depends on which superstition they believe in.
Some people say that it's fortunate to find a piece of coal on the open road, but only if the finder throws it over his left shoulder.
Others say that the coal, in order to be fortunate, must be carried for a few minutes and then thrown away.
The most extreme view is that, to get the most good fortune from a piece of coal, it must be carried all the way home and kept there.
According to this belief, as long as there's coal in the house, the members of the house will be fortunate forever.

Here's a little tip, she really likes it when you rub her neck in the same spot over and over and over again until it starts to get a little red.

Well, he's a big boy, he'll get over it.

Ross, ten o'clock.
Is it? Feels like two.
No, ten o'clock.
/ What?
There's a beautiful woman at eight, nine, ten o'clock!
Oh. Hel-lo!
She's amazing! She makes the women that I dream about look like short, fat, bald men!
Well, go over to her! She's not with anyone.
Oh yeah, and what would my opening line be? 'Excuse me. Blarrglarrghh.'
Oh, c'mon. She's a person, you can do it!
Oh please, could she be more out of my league? Ross, back me up here.
He could never get a woman like that in a million years.
/ Thank you, buddy.

Do you know what it's like to grow up with someone who is critical of every single thing you say?
...I can imagine.
I'm telling you, it's a wonder your mother turned out to be the positive, life-affirming person that she is.
That is a wonder. So tell me something, Mom.
If you had to do it all over again, I mean, if she was here right now, would you tell her?
Tell her what?
How she drove you crazy, picking on every little detail, like your hair... for example.
I'm not sure I know what you're getting at.
Do you think things would have been better if you'd just told her the truth?
...No.
I think some things are better left unsaid. I think it's nicer when people just get along.

Excuse me, could we get an egg over here, still in the shell?
Thanks. An egg?
Yeah, you're gonna go up to her and say, "Here's your egg back, I'm returning your egg."
I think it's winning.
I think it's insane.
She'll love it.
Go with the egg, my friend.
- Think it'll work?
- No, it's suicide. The man's got an egg.
You can not do this.

Ok, ok, Roger was creepy, but he was nothing compared to Pete Carney.
Which one was Pete Carney?
Pete the Weeper?
Remember that guy who used to cry every time we had sex.
"Was it good for you?"
Yeah, well, I'll take a little crying any day over
Howard-the-'I-win'-guy.
"I win! I win!"
I went out with the guy for two months, I didn't get to win once.
How did we end up with these jerks?
Maybe we're some kinda magnets.
I know I am.
That's why I can't wear a digital watch.

ah, what're you doing here?
I've been trying to call you.
Listen, um...
No, no, no, don't say "listen." I know that "listen."
I've said that "listen."
I'm sorry.
I don't get it.
What happened?
What about everything you said under the bridge?
Yeah, um...
그건...
I was talkin' crazy that night, I was so drunk!
You don't drink.
That's right, I don't ..
But I was, I was drunk on you!
Okay, yeah, so it's not gonna work.
Why?
Is it because I'm friends with Phoebe?
If it was, would you stop hanging out with her?
No. No, I, I couldn't do that.
Um, then yes, it's 'cause of Phoebe!
So, you know, it's either her or me.
Then, uh, then I'm sorry.
You know...
You're gonna be really, really hard to get over.
I know...
그래.
I don't know whether it's just 'cause we're breakin' up or what,
but you have never looked so beautiful.
Really?
정말?

It was just a few drinks.
It was enough to get pulled over.
I wasn't drunk-drunk.
Were you alone?
Yes.

Say it to my face.
Watch the road.
Say it to my face!
Yes, I was alone!

- Have you been in the conference room?
Have it steam cleaned over the weekend.
In the meantime, get those poor kids some Febreze or something.
It's like a petting zoo.

We should seize it.
But without Birch's cooperation,
we're fighting an uphill battle
before we even get the bill to the floor.
Frank, we discussed this.
Sir, if you give in now,
Birch will walk all over you
for the next four years.
I can get this bill on the house floor as is.
I promise you.
All right, Frank. Show me what you can do.
Thank you, Mr. President.

Did you ask him here after we said all those times
that we're not gonna let him bother you?
He screwed you over one too many times.
Who you talking about?
I'm talking about Peter Russo at the front door.
Did you ask him here, or did he just come on his own?
Does he know as soon as we're finished with him...
Stop.
그만해
No, I'm not gonna stop until you
actually deal with it and get rid of him.

Peter, we really need to get going.
We've already missed one flight because the meeting went over.
I booked us another one at 9:25, but...
We have to drop the kids off at school.
It's going to be really tight.
If we miss this plane, we have to cancel our first event.

It's all over the news.
- Yeah, it could be a while.
- Can we get audio from the vice president?
Communications are being jammed until the evacuation's over.
- Have you spoken to Ashleigh?
- She thinks we should get
a sat truck down here and wait and go live.
I can't guarantee when that'll be.
The vice president is quarantined in the Capitol and we have an exclusive.
The network will broadcast whenever the hell we tell them to.
They're holding off until you get here.

What I'm about to tell you doesn't leave this room.
Fine.
There may be an element inside the agency involved with the hit on Palmer.
- What? - The next 24 hours, I want you all over this.
You'll interface with every division.
I am the last person that you want to bring something like this to.
- I don't agree.
- Richard...
I built a case against three of our own agents and busted them for taking bribes.
If there's a conspiracy in the agency, I'll never get anywhere near it.
Well, you'll have to, Jack.
Because you're the only guy that I can trust.

Sir?
Phone call, Senator. It's Maureen Kingsley from the network.
- Come on, Patty, it's after midnight. - She says it's urgent.
Maureen, this better be good.
- Can I get you some coffee or anything? - Thank you, Patty.
My response? Here's my response.
You air that allegation or anything remotely like it...
This conversation is over, Maureen.
That'll be all, Patty.

Could you do me a favour? Could you cover for me?
Sure.
OK, forward all my calls to my cellphone. I'll be back as soon as I can.
- Jack. - What?
A 747 just blew up over the Mojave desert.
Preliminary reports make it sound like it was a bomb.
Passenger list. Get me Walsh on the phone now.

- CTU, this is Myers.
- Mason looking overyour shoulder?
No. He ended the lockdown as soon as he found out where you were.
Be careful. He'll come after you.
I'm at the precinct. They've got a ring around the suspect. I need help.
Get Ryan Sealey over at District. Say it's about Palmer and I need an override.
OK. I'll take care of it.

Let me go in first. Make sure she's up to it.
Thank you.
You know what we should do when this is over?
Get some sleep?
We should take that trip we always talked about. You know, up the coast into Canada.
Just the three of us.
That sounds nice.

You're gonna get a lot of hard questions thrown at you.
Not just about Keith. They're gonna bring up the rape.
I know.
알아요
You're gonna be OK.
I was hoping it was over.
Not talking about it all these years...
I started to let myself believe it never happened.
You don't have to answer anything you don't want to.
Just say ''No comment''. Or refer them to me.

So, uh, what's gonna happen this morning?
We have to put this thing behind us, Keith.
Oh, by me being in prison and you in the Oval Office? That how we put it behind us?
You're not going to prison. You didn't do anything wrong.
- That's not how a jury will see it. - Just have a little faith in the system.
What's this fairy tale that you're living in?
Look, the world's gonna believe that I killed a white kid who raped my sister.
You think anyone will believe it was an accident?
- Yes, I do. - Then you're a fool.
- Keith, no... - No, that's all right.
You talk about fairy tales. You think you can run from this?
You think it's gonna make things better?
