윤창호 금융위 금융산업국장은 "토스뱅크는 예비인가 이후 1년 반 정도 준비 작업이 필요하다"면서 "토스뱅크 출범 시기는 2021년 7월로 예정하고 있다"고 말했다.
"Toss Bank needs to prepare for about a year and a half after preliminary approval," said Yoon Chang-ho, director-general of the financial industry bureau at the Financial Services Commission, adding, "The launch of Toss Bank is scheduled for July 2021."

온종합병원 김동헌 병원장은 3일 "부·울·경 지역 종합병원으로는 유일하게 암병원을 구축했다"면서 "우리나라 암 치료 권위자들을 의료진으로 대거 보강한 만큼 지역 암 환자에게 양질의 의료 서비스를 제공할 수 있을 것"이라고 밝혔다.
Kim Dong-heon, the director of On Hospital said on the 3rd, "we established the only cancer hospital as a local general hospital in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsangnam-do areas," and, "as it was reinforced greatly with experts in cancer treatment in Korea as medical staff, it will provide high-quality medical services for local cancer patients."

다만 신종 코로나 바이러스가 확산되면 테드로스 아드하놈 게브레예수스 WHO 사무총장은 비상 위원회 위원들과 상의해 긴급 위원회 회의를 소집할 수도 있다고 덧붙였다.
However, WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Gebreyesus added that he may consult with emergency committee members to convene an emergency committee meeting if the novel coronavirus spreads.

정 본부장은 "동남아 국가에서 유입된 환자들에 대해 어디까지를 의심해 검사해야 할지 고민이 많은 상태"라고 말했다.

Trade Body Chief Deplores Fake WTO Web Sites
WTO 사무총장, 가짜 WTO 웹사이트 개탄
World Trade Organization Director-General Mike Moore on Tuesday
accused opponents of the body who have set up fake WTO Web sites of
deliberately misleading people seeking information on its activities.
마이크 무어 세계무역기구(WTO) 사무총장은 23일 WTO 반대자들이 가짜
WTO 웹사이트를 개설해 WTO의 활동 정보를 찾는 이들을 교묘하게 오도하고
있다고 비난했다.
Dozens of such Web sites on the Internet have been created in the run-up
to the WTO's Ministerial Conference in Seattle from November 30 to
December 3 during which thousands of protesters are planning to
demonstrate.
수십개의 가짜 WTO 웹사이트들이 오는 30일부터 다음 달 3일까지 시애틀에서
열리는 WTO 각료회담을 앞두고 인터넷상에는 개설됐으며 수천 명이 각료회담
도중 항의시위를 벌일 계획인 것으로 알려졌다.
The sites lead surfers to others where the WTO is denounced as an
``instrument of imperialism'' or ``a tool of capitalist oppression'' in
a campaign some trade envoys have likened to disinformation efforts by
the KGB, the old Soviet intelligence service.
가짜 WTO 사이트들은 WTO를 '제국주의의 앞잡이' '자본주의자 폭압의 도구'로
비하하는 캠페인을 벌이고 있다. 일부 무역대표들은 이 캠페인이 마치 구 소
련정보기구였던 KGB의 역정보 공작같다고 말했다.

Francis Gurry, chief legal counsel and WIPO assistant director general,
told Reuters: ``We expect a decision rapidly. It is done on the basis of
documents only, without a hearing.
``But if there is a significant volume of cases, we will gather the panel
members together to review them in batches.
``If some indications prove correct, there could be significant demand at
least initially,'' added Gurry, an Australian. ``Then there will be a
deterrent effect of the procedure which would discourage people from
cyber-squatting.''
WIPO의 프란시스 거리(Francis Gurry) 수석 법률자문관이자 사무차장은
"결정이 빨리 내려질 것"이라며 "이는 청문절차 없이 서류에 의해서만
내려지며 조정건수가 많을 경우에는 패널구성원 전체가 참여해 한꺼번에
심사한다고 밝혔다. 그는 "신청인의 어떤 주장들이 타당한 지 가려지면 상대방은
여기에 해명해야하는 등 상당한 부담을 안게 된다"며 "이 때문에 조정절차가
사이버스쿼팅을 억제하는 효과를 갖는다"고 설명했다.

Korea's Q2 Real GDP up 9.8% Year-on-Year

Korea's real GDP in the second quarter was up 9.8% year-on-year after a 4.6%
rise in the first quarter on the back of recovering domestic spending and
facilities investment as well as rising exports, the Bank of Korea said
yesterday.
올해 2·4분기 실질 국내총생산(GDP) 성장률이 9.8%에 달하는 것으로 집계됐다.
국내 민간소비와 설비투자 등 내수가 빠르게 회복되고 수출도 신장세가
확대된데 힘입은 결과라고 한국은행은 말했다.

The upbeat figure is the highest in almost four years and the fourth
consecutive quarter rise since the third quarter of last year, signaling
Korea has already entered the recovering stage, the central bank said.
이 증가치는 거의 4년만에 최고이며 지난해 3·4분기를 저점으로 이후 4분기째
연속 상승세를 기록해 완연한 경기 회복 국면에 진입했다는 평가다.

As a result, GDP growth in the first half of this year posted 7.3%, higher
than BOK's earlier projection of 6.3%, and the growth rate for all of 1999
is expected to exceed 7%.
2·4분기 중 성장률이 이처럼 예상보다 높게 나오면서 상반기중 성장률은 당초
예상했던 6.3%을 웃도는 7.3%로 기록됐으며 올해 연간 성 장률도 한은의 예상치
6.8%를 넘어 7%대에 이를 것으로 전망된다.

Compared with the first quarter, GDP growth adjusted for seasonal changes
increased about 3% and showed a balanced rise among all industries, said
Chung Jung-ho, a director general at the BOK's statistical department.
정정호(鄭政鎬) 경제통계국장은 "2·4분기에는 각 업종별로나 부문별로 균형있는
성장세를 보였으며 계절조정치로도 성장률이 전분기보다 3%포인트 높다"고 설명했다.
