Freud Sigmund(1856~1936)오스트리아의 정신 분석학자
For a long time psychoanalysis was the only psychotherapy practiced in Western society, and it is based on the theories of Sigmund Freud.
According to Freud's views, psychological disturbances are due to anxiety about hidden conflicts in the unconscious parts of one's personality.
One job of the Psychoanalysts, therefore, is to help make the patients aware of the unconscious impulses and desires that are causing the anxiety.
Psychoanalysts believe that understanding these unconscious motives is very important.
If patients can have that kind of understanding, called insight, they have taken the first step toward gaining control over their behavior and freeing themselves of their problems.
정신분석학은 오랫동안 서구사회에서 시행된 유일한 심리치료였으며 Sigmund Freud의 이론에 근거하고 있다.
Freud의 견해에 의하면 심리적 장애는 개인 성격의 무의식적인 부분들에 숨어있는 갈등에 대한 불안에서 생겨난다.
그렇기에 정신분석학자가 하는 한 가지 일은 그러한 불안을 야기하는 무의식적인 충동과 욕망을 환자들이 인식할 수 있도록 도와주는 것이다.
