Schubert spent his whole life in poverty.
But he had one noble purpose in life.
That was to write down the beautiful musical thoughts which seemed to flow from his brain in an endless rush of melody.
As one of the most productive composers, Schubert wrote music as freely as one would write a friendly letter.
He just produced what was in him, and brought us a rich treasure of music.

Water is the best drink when you are thirsty.
It is absorbed by the body more quickly than a drink with a lot of sugar in it, such as soda.
Within 15 minutes of drinking a glass of water, most of it has already left the stomach.
It is flowing to other parts of the body, helping to cool and clean them.
A soda, on the other hand, is still sitting in the stomach 15 minutes after drinking.
Sodas that have caffeine in them actually take water from the body.
So do other drinks with caffeine, such as coffee and tea.

There could be no doubt that these long-suffering people were really going to challenge the cruel Empire of Japan.
Although success seemed impossible, I felt honored to be enlisted in the great adventure.
Arriving at Pagoda Park at about 2 p.m., I took up a good position on the opposite side of the street, ready for action.
A steady stream of students was flowing into the park, passing directly in front of the four or five Japanese police.
They had no idea of the purpose of the student gathering.
Suddenly there was a tremendous noise as the suppressed emotions of ten years were released in a deafening shout of “Manse.”
I took snapshots as fast as possible, but as the students were running right at the camera, I knew that the pictures would be disappointing.

These experiences have taught me that change, which is an essential part of our life, can have both positive and negative effects.
It may hurt us a little when it occurs,
but if we accept it as a growth process, it will bring benefits in the long run.
My best advice is to “go with the flow.”
Keep an open mind and be optimistic.

Imagine your brain as a house filled with lights.
Now imagine someone turning off the lights one by one.
That's what Alzheimer’s disease does.
It turns off the lights, so that the flow of ideas, emotions and memories from one room to the next slows and eventually ceases.
And sadly, as anyone who has ever watched a parent or a spouse yielding to the spreading darkness knows,
there is no way to stop the lights from going off, no way to switch them back on once they've grown dim.

Yet thanks to my wife, I began to calm myself down.
I tried to relax in the car.
I allowed myself more travel time and tried not to let the traffic and the slow movement annoy me.
While I couldn't change the traffic flow, I could change my attitude toward it.

Writing and editing are distinct processes.
Writing requires you to let the words flow as they come to you.
Editing requires you to stop and critically assess each word.
It is hard to stay in the creative flow when you are stopping after every word to criticize what you've just written.
If you try to write your first draft and edit it at the same time,
you're likely to lose your concentration and get caught up in details instead of delivering your message.
By the time you finish the first paragraph, you are likely to be frustrated and unable to remember what you originally intended to say.

Signs of globalization are everywhere.
From the foreign cars we drive to the foreign food we eat.
Today, the products we buy come from all over the world.
The capital investment that creates these products flows from one country to another with such ease as has never before been seen.
And with these products, came new cultural ideas.
Baseball, Americans' favorite sport, was being challenged by a global import, football, what Americans call soccer.
On the other hand, America influences other countries as well.

What I believe is that our unspoken fears create blocks or crimps in the body's energy flow, and it's these blocks that ultimately result in problems.
The fears keep manifesting in ever-greater degrees until we deal with them.
Physical problems are the last step.
Ideally these blocks would be dealt with early, in a preventive way, before illness develops.

This is an open letter to the highway hopper.
Traffic was moving at 30 mph instead of 55.
Rather than go with the flow, you saw the traffic pattern as a checkerboard to jump around in order to reach your destination sooner.

The markets of the world are flowing with goods and services produced by the interplay of sun and earth, air and water, and the inexhaustible imagination and energy of man.
Wherever you touch an object made or conveyed by man, you are touched by all the people who have reached their hands to make this possible for you.
Daily use is daily communion.

But the most noble motivation for giving is not prompted by a sense of duty.
It flows freely from unselfish love.

ooze out : to flow or leak out slowly.

In Egypt, a patina of superficial prosperity gilds a fragile economic core. The
revenues from new trade policies and foreign investment are flowing to an all too
visible superclass of the very rich. But at the same time, The great mass of Egyptians
are struggling with overcrowding, a breakdown of critical services and lack of productive
jobs.
* patina:a thin crust or film;appearance.

Of professor Baker's latest book I can say only that his and my views
remain worlds apart, and though I yield to no one in my admiration for his
smooth-flowing literary style, my opinions of what he has to say are quite
another matter.

flow, this time to the brain.

Anything that contributes to stress during mealtime can interfere with
the digestion of food. For that reason humans have evolved rituals of
eating, such as a drink before dinner or the saying of grace, that have
survived for thousands of years. These rituals put the body in the right
condition to receive food. They relax the body and get the proper juices
flowing for the digestion of food.

Take my hand
Take my whole life,too
For I can't help falling in love you
I can't help falling in love you
I can't help falling in love you
I can't help falling in love you

Can't Help falling in love

Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you
* Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be

**
Oh, my love, my darling.
I've hungered for touch.
A long lonely time.
And time goes by so slowly.
Ant time can do so much.
Are you still mine.
I need your love.
I need your love.
God speed your love to me.
-
Lonely rivers flow
To the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea.
-
Lonely rivers sigh.
Wait for me, wait for me.
I'll be coming home.
Wait for me.

The Internet has put a fine point on people's fears that technology was gathering incredible amounts of information and misusing it.
The free flow of information allows for simpler, speedier transactions, cheap home loans, competitive interest rate credit cards, low drug prescription prices, and discounted mail order catalog clothing sales, to name but a few.
But in the new language of privacy, "always-on devices" and "pervasive computer" mean(that) a user is never disconnected from a network and communications devices become personal trackers.

The microprocessor underlies many recent advances in telecommunication technology.
Over the past 30 years global communications have been revolutionized by developments in satellite, optical fiber, and wireless technology, and now the Internet and World Wide Web.
These technologies rely on the microprocessor to encode, transmit, and decode the information that flows along these electronic highways.
Plus, the cost of microprocessors continue to fall while their power increases.
As this happens, the costs of global communications plummet, which lowers the cost of coordinating and controlling a global organization.

The ocean is the earth's greatest storehouse of minerals.
In a single cubic mile of sea water there are, on the average, 166 million tons of dissolved salts, and in all the ocean waters of the earth there are about 50 quadrillion tons.
And it is in the nature of things for this quantity to be gradually increasing over the millennia,
for although the earth is constantly shifting her component materials from place to place, the heaviest movements are forever seaward.
It has been assumed that the first seas were only faintly saline and that their saltiness has been growing over the eons of time.
For the primary source of the ocean's salt is rocky mantle of the continents.
When those first rains came―the centuries- long rains that fell from the heavy clouds enveloping the young earth―they began the processes of wearing away the rocks and carrying their contained minerals to the sea.
The annual flow of water seaward is believed to be about 6500 cubic miles, this inflow of river water adding to the ocean several billion tons of salts.

The effects of CO2-induced climate warming on Antarctica have been studied using numerical models that simulate ice flow and changes in ice sheet and ice shelf size over time (Huybrechts and Oerlemans 1990, Budd et al. 1994).
The model predictions can be summarized in three main points.
First, the glaciers and ice shelves of the Peninsula are lost.
Second, the large Ross and Ronne-Filchner Ice Shelves, into which the West Antarctic Ice Sheet drains, are lost to basal melting assumed to be caused by increased SST.
Third, the volume of ice in both the West Antarctic and East Antarctic ice sheets increases as a result of increased snow accumulation.

Temperatures in the northern lands were below freezing for eight or nine
months of the year. Subsurface soil in the Arctic's tundra remained
permanently frozen. Even when summer temperatures were above freezing
and the top inches of earth became saturated with water, the soil below
remained frozen into a permafrost, as hard as rock. When water flowed
upon the surface of permanently frozen tundra, it made overland travel
extremely difficult.

There are two basic types of glaciers, those that flow outward in all
directions with little regard for any underlying terrain and those that
are confined by terrain to a particular path.

Any domelike body of ice that also flows out in all directions but
covers less than 50,000 square kilometers is called an ice cap. Although
ice caps are rare nowadays, there are a number in northeastern Canada,
on Baffin Island, and on the Queen Elizabeth Islands.
Queen Elizabeth Islands

The second category of glaciers includes those of a variety of shapes
and sizes generally called mountain or alpine glaciers. Mountain
glaciers are typically identified by the landform that controls their
flow. One form of mountain glacier that resembles an ice cap in that it
flows outward in several directions is called an ice field. The
difference between an ice field and an ice cap is subtle. Essentially,
the flow of an ice field is somewhat controlled by surrounding terrain
and thus does not have the domelike shape of a cap. There are several
ice fields in the Wrangell, St. Elias, and Chugach mountains of Alaska
and northern British Columbia.
British

Less spectacular than large ice fields are the most common types of
mountain glaciers : the cirque and valley glaciers. Cirque glaciers are
found in depressions in the surface of the land and have a
characteristic circular shape. The ice of valley glaciers, bound by
terrain, flows down valleys, curves around their corners, and falls over
cliffs.

Teaching is supposed to be a professional activity requiring long and
complicated training as well as official certification. The act of
teaching is looked upon as a flow of knowledge from a higher source to
an empty container. The student's role is one of receiving information;
the teacher's role is one of sending it.

The heart acts as a central pump to send blood throughout the body.
Great arteries that leave the heart carry the blood to smaller and
smaller arteries throughout the body. The smallest vessels are just wide
enough for a single cell to pass through. Blood returns to the heart
through the veins. It flows from smaller veins to larger veins until it
enters the heart. Oxygen and foods pass from blood to the cells of the
body. And waste products, such as carbon dioxide, pass from the body
cells to blood vessels.

but all are created by the same process -the slow deposition of dissolved limestone.
And when stalactite meets stalagmite a column is born

Cave exploration often requires you to push yourself through narrow gaps in the rock.
Cavers call such places 'squeezes.'
The tighter the squeeze,
the greater the chance of damaging some vital life-support system.

This is a halocline - a meeting of fresh and salt water.
Fresh water from the jungle flows over the heavier salt water from the sea.
The saltwater layer is extremely low in oxygen making it a particularly difficult place for animals to live.

The Maya understood the importance of the cenotes,
but they could never have known that these flooded passagewayswere actually the beginning
of subterranean rivers, all of which eventually flow out to the sea.
Salt water, unlike fresh water, does not erode limestone,
so most sea caves are created by the mechanical pounding of the waves.

External gills help it to breathe in water that is particularly low in oxygen.

so when something does come along it can't afford to miss it.
It's astonishing that these extraordinary cave dwellers manage to survive at all.

But one cave is so inhospitable
that one would not expect it to contain any life whatsoever.
