Re; Visit of Mr. In-sung Kim

Further to our correspondence on this matter, we would like to have Mr.
Kim visit London sometime in October. The exact dates will be confirmed
later. Set out below are the departments he should visit and the areas
he should look into during this visit.

While he is primarily concerned with Service and related matters, he
will take the opportunity to look at assembly, particularly K.D.
assembly relative to our own C.K.D. imports. Hopefully, this could be
included as well.

·Discussions with Service personnel on technical matters.
·Discussions with Warranty Department on claims issues.
·Service Literature Department familiarization visit.
·Visit Sales & Service Center.
·Visit assembly plants where the A30 and XAll are assembled; all
stages including stocking and dispatch for assembly.
·K.D. Packing and Dispatch Department for workflow.
·Quality Control Matters.

Kindly confirm that a program along the above lines could be
accommodated. We would like to think that this could be covered in a
total period of ten days maximum.

the depart ments가 주어이므로 be동사는 are가 된다. should 자기쪽의 희망을
나타낸다. look into[조사하다] see가 표면적인 데 비해 look into는[내용을
보다]의 뉘앙스로, investigate가 가깝다.

while he is primarily concerned with~[관심이 있는 것은 주로 ~이지만]이외
에도 관심있는 분야가 있다는 주절로 연결된다.

As a new analyst, it would be helpful for you to do the following:
1. Visit the DOC's Trade Reference Room.
2. Familiarize yourself with the DOC's Law and Main Libraries.
3. Visit the IA home page at www.ita.doc.gov/import-admtn\records
4. Establish contact with people you know at other agencies which interface with IA,
i.e., U.S. Customs, the ITC, and the U.S. Trade Representative. They may be able
to provide you with other contacts in their agency who will be of assistance to you
in your work here with Import Administration.
5. Become familiar with the source of AD and CVD law, including: the AD and CVD
statue (Title VII of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended); the DOC regulations for
antidumping duties (19 CFR 351), the explanatory preamble to the proposed and
final regulations, 61 FR 7308 (Feb. 27, 1996) and 62 FR 2796 (May 19, 1997), the
Statement of Administrative Action (the legislative history of the URAA, printed
in House Document 103-316, vol.1); the WTO Antidumping Agreement (reprinted
in H. Doc 103-316, vol. 1 at page 1453)..
6. Attend as many IA and ITA training sessions as possible.
7. Attend a case hearing at the the DOC and the ITC.
8. Attend as many case-related meetings as possible.
9. Assist on as many different dumping proceeding actions as you can.
10. Maintain a case work file and index.
11. Prepare a court record.
12. Visit the IA Central Records Unit in Rooms B-099 and 1870 and the
Administrative Protective Order Office in Room 1870.
13. Go on a product-familiarization trip to a production facility.
14. Go on a verification trip.
15. Visit a U.S. Customs field office in a city where you are verifying to see how
Customs implements our directives for investigations and administrative reviews.

7. 상무부 및 국제무역위원회의 사건 공청회에 참석하라.
8. 사건관련 회의에 가급적 많이 참석하라.
9. 상이한 덤핑관련 조치를 가급적 많이 지원해 보라.
10. 사건 작업철과 색인을 유지하라.
11. 법원 기록을 준비하라.
12. 수입행정실 중앙기록관리소 B-099 및 1870호실과 행정보호명령담당관실
1870호실을 방문하라.
13. 제품에 익숙해지기 위해 생산시설을 방문하라.
14. 현장검증 방문을 하라.
15. 조사 및 행정재심을 위한 상무부의 지시를 세관에서 어떻게 시행하는
지를 보기 위해 현장 검증하는 도시의 일선 세관을 방문하라.
