여기서 eco는 생태계인 ecosystem을 말하는 것입니다.
그 외 friendly와 함께 잘 쓰이는 표현을 살펴보면
userfriendly는 사용자에게 친화적인 것이므로
시스템이 사용하기 쉬운 것을 말합니다.
handicap-friendly는 장애인에게 친화적인 것이므로
'장애인 편의를 위해 만들어진'

장애인을 위해 만들어진 보도는 curb가 없다.
여기서 curb는 인도와 보도 사이의 턱을 말합니다.
