환경 보호 기업체를 environment-friendly business라고 하죠
때로는 eco-friendly라고도 합니다.
여기서 eco는 생태계인 ecosystem을 말하는 것입니다.
그 외 friendly와 함께 잘 쓰이는 표현을 살펴보면
userfriendly는 사용자에게 친화적인 것이므로
시스템이 사용하기 쉬운 것을 말합니다.
handicap-friendly는 장애인에게 친화적인 것이므로
'장애인 편의를 위해 만들어진'
Handicap friendly sidewalk has no curb.
장애인을 위해 만들어진 보도는 curb가 없다.
여기서 curb는 인도와 보도 사이의 턱을 말합니다.

It's frustrating.
You're excited about the work you've just completed on your computer.
You start to print.
And suddenly it happens.
You run out of ink.
To make matters worse, when you take the empty color cartridge out of the printer and shake it, you can still hear ink inside.
Although only one color has run dry, the whole cartridge is now useless.
Obviously, throwing away unused ink translates into wasted money.
Well, the good news is that we recently introduced a system whereby each color is separated into individual ink tanks.
They're called “Eco Tanks” and they dramatically reduce a printer's running costs.

그런데 좋은 소식은 우리가 최근에 각각의 색깔이 개별적인 통으로 분리되는 시스템을 도입했다는 것이다.
그것은 ‘Eco-Tanks'로 불리며, 프린터의 사용 비용을 크게 줄여 준다.
