put the cart before the horse: 적반하장(to be illogical, to be done in the wrong order)
ex) Buying a new car before you've actually gotten a raise seems to be putting the cart before the horse.

→ 『물론 중요하지만~』- Of course(or No doubt of Indeed or It is true) it is important to~, 「과연 ~이지만, 그러나…」 Of course; No doubt; Indeed; It is true; Undoubtedly; To be sure; I admit
⇒ It is true he is young, but he is prudent for his age.

[比較] accompany, attend, escort
His wife accompanied him on his trip to London./ He attended her to the concert./ May I escort you to your car?

[比較] hit, beat, knock, punch, slap, strike, stroke
He hit the ball with a bat./ The men beat him unmercifully.
He struck his enemy on the mouth.
She stroked the cat.
He knocked on the door./ The car knocked the old man down.
He patted me on the back./ She slapped the naughty child.
He rapped the door with his cane.
The teacher tapped her fingers on the desk impatiently.

[比較] injure, harm, hurt, wound, damage
He was injured in a train crash./ You can injure people by unkind words.
The hunter wounded the deer.
It hurts the eye to look at the sun.
My feelings were hurt when he didn't ask me to the party.
He damaged my car with a stone.
His angry words damaged their marriage.

[比較] body, corpse, remains, carcass, cadaver, carrion
Women take great care of their bodies.
They removed the body to a morgue.(그들은 시체를 시체 공시소로 옮겼다.)
the corpse of Caesar/ a sheep's carcass/ Save your carcass.(네 몸이나 아껴라.)

[比較] stop, cease, pause, quit, discontinue, desist
My watch stopped./ Oh! do stop talking that way!
The war had ceased./ All life has ceased.
The noise stops(or ceases)처럼 할 수 있다. One stops a car에서 cease를 쓰려면, One ceases driving a car처럼 한다.
He paused to tie his shoe.
He quit his job for a better position.
quit에는 stop의 뜻과 cease의 뜻이 있어, He quit working이라고 하면, stopped working(<그 날 하루의 일 따위> 일을 그만두었다)의 뜻도, ceased working(일을 아주 그만 두었다, 은퇴했다)의 뜻도 된다.
discontinue a business (or a friendship, or a correspondence, or a subscription to a journal, or drinking intoxication liquors)/ He has discontinued the practice of law.
desist from further questioning/ He had made two attempts to shave but his hand had been so unsteady that he had been obliged to desist.

[比較] use, employ, utilize, exploit, work
use a pencil(telephone)/ Use your eyes, child! It's right there in front of you!
He's only using you./ He used his brother to advance himself.
I could use your help this afternoon. I could use you this afternoon.
use eggs in cooking/ All the butter has been used.
