BSI(기업경기실사지수.Business Survey Index):경기에 대한 기업가 등의
판단, 장래의 전망 및 이에 대비한 계획 등을 설문지를 통해 조사한 것.
경기에 대한 기업가의 판단은 단기적인 경기 변동에 중요한 영향을 미치게
된다는 점에서 BSI는 중요한 경기예측지표로 사용된다. 0에서 200 사이의
수치를 갖게 되는데 100이상이면 경기가 확장국면을, 100미만이면
수축국면을 나타내는 것으로 판단할 수 있다. 이번 수치는 전경련이
BSI조사를 실시(1997년 말 현재 전경련이 실시한 6백대기업을 대상으로
실시한 BSI수치는 63.0으로 나타났다. ) 한 이후 가장 낮은 수준으로
경기침체 장기화를 예고하고 있다.

김성태 KDI 경제전망실장은 "최근 동행지수 순환변동치가 횡보하고 기업경기실사지수(BSI) 등 심리지표가 반등했다"면서 "대외 부문이 갑작스럽게 나빠지지 않으면 우리 경제가 지금 저점 근방에 있을 수 있다"고 말했다.
Kim Sung-tae, head of the KDI's economic outlook office, said, "The cyclical fluctuation of the accompanying index has recently fluctuated and psychological indicators such as the BSI have rebounded," adding, "If the external sector does not deteriorate suddenly, our economy may be near the low point now."

하지만 코로나19가 본격 확산한 2월 한국은행 제조업 계절조정 기업경기실사지수(BSI)가 전월 78에서 67로, 전산업 BSI가 75에서 65로 모두 큰 폭으로 하락했다.
