ANS) In Korea spring comes with the arrival of the swallows from the south and with the blooming of azaleas and cherry blossoms in late March of early April. Summer in Korea is hot and rainy. The summer usually begins in June. The temperature rises above 20℃(68℉) in most areas of Korea, and especially in July there are many rainy days. Fall is rather short, about two months from the middle of September to November. It is the most pleasant season of the year, because the days are clear and sunny. Winter in Korea can be characterized as cold and dry, though it snows frequently in most parts of the country.

Life is unfair. Yet life is good.
Our ability to thoughtfully deal with the unfairness and build on the good can make the difference between a happy and unhappy life.
One reason so many of us cannot get out of pain easily is our tendency to think,
“That shouldn't have happened to me. That was unfair.”
When we allow such thinking to dominate our thoughts, we begin to bear resentments.

In the United States, numberless people are illiterate for a variety of reasons.
Some dropped out of school.
Others came to the country from another country.
Still others had ineffective teachers, or were not ready to learn reading when it was taught.
The problem, however, begins in the home, not at school.
The majority of children with illiterate parents become illiterate themselves.
Conversely, preschoolers whose parents read to them are better prepared to begin school and perform at higher rates than those not exposed to reading.

Difficult as it may be in some instances to ascertain quite accurately whether an overworked man had perfectly sound bodily health to begin with, the facts remain, that the excessive exercise of the mental powers is injurious to bodily health, and that all intellectual labour proceeds upon a physical basis.

Throughout Western Europe, Begin's reputation fell to an all-time low. Lord
Carrington, the British Foreign Secretary, called in the Israeli Ambassador to warn
him that pre-emptive strikes, "with their horrible trail of human destruction, cannot
conceivably advance the cause of peace." In Paris and Bonn, top officials were
equally scathing in private.

In a good many cases unnecessary timidity makes the trouble worse than
it need be. Public opinion is always more tyrannical towards those who
obviously fear it than towards those who feel indifferent to it.
A dog will bark more loudly and bite more readily when people are afraid
of him than when they treat him with contempt, and the human herd has
something of this same characteristic. If you show that you are afraid
of them, you give promise of good hunting, whereas if you show
indifference, they begin to doubt their own power and therefore tend to
let you alone.

A barber got converted one Sunday, so he thought it his duty to speak to
all who came into his shop in future about religion.
Now, the barber was a very fluent speaker on most topics, but when it
came to religion he hardly knew how to begin.
One morning a Mr. Jones came to be shaved. The barber began to shave him.
All at once he said: "Mr. Jones." Mr. Jones looked up, and was so
startled that he got the brush in his mouth.
"Mr. Jones," repeated the barber; but still he could get no further with
his speech.
The barber then walked up to the strap which was hung on the wall, and
began to rub the razor backward and forwards on it.
"Mr. Jones," said he. "Mr. Jones, are you prepared to die?"
It is said that Mr. Jones jumped out of the window.

A long journey begin with the first step.

As you become a teenager, however, you may sometimes begin to question
adult's ideas, instead of blindly accepting their ideas as you did when
you were a small child. You gradually become aware that you are a unique
person with your own ideas and attitudes. For example, you begin to make
choices of your own about your lifestyle. To put it another way, you will
find that you want to put your life together in the way that you think is
best for you.

Remember to let her in to your heart

Then you begin to make it better
And any time you feel the pain

The advocates of "2001" usually say that since a century is 100 years, a millennium is 1000 years,
and the calendar began with year 1, therefore all subsequent centuries will begin with a year 1 (e.g. 1901), and all millennia will begin with a year 1 (e.g. 2001).
There is no year zero.
Fair enough. However, when calendars were invented that numbered the years, whether the regal years of Egyptian Kings or a continuous count like the Seleucid Era, the number systems used did not contain the number zero.
There could be no year zero when there was no zero.
Also, years were thought of as ordinals: the first year of a reign was thus year 1.
People who still think in these terms I will call "Ordinalists."

When we say that it is the year 1997 of the "Anno Domini" or "Common" Era, does this mean that it is the 1997th year of the Era ("Which one?"), or that 1997 years have elapsed ("How many?") since a Benchmark?
Well, it can mean both.
If it is the 1997th year of the Era, then the Era began on January 1st, 1 AD.
On the other hand, if 1997 years have elapsed since a Benchmark, then the Benchmark was January 1, 0 AD.
January 1, 1 AD, would mean that 1 year has elapsed since the Benchmark.
That makes the calendar begin with the year 0 AD, not with the year 1 AD.
People who think in these terms I will call "Cardinalists."

But is it a good idea for the U.S. to begin vaccinating all Americans again?

Though it could neutralize one major bioterrorist weapon, there are strong arguments against it.

The shots themselves carry risks.
Historically, for about two out of every 1 million people inoculated, the vaccine's weak virus strain caused brain infection and death; others developed a mild but still unpleasant poxlike viral infection.
More worrisome is the fact that the number of people most vulnerable to these adverse effects - those with compromised immune systems, such as patients in chemotherapy or with AIDS - has increased considerably since the last mass inoculations.
Most experts believe that only a confirmed case of smallpox would justify taking these risks again with a nationwide vaccination program.

A story might begin for Edith Wharton with ether the characters or the
situation. If the situation came fisrt, she was always very careful to let it
lie in her mind until it had brought forth of itself the people it needed. It
was an idiosyncrasy of her creative mind that her characters always came to her
with their names, which she could not chance except at the cost of losing her
hold on that destiny would be expressed. Although her characters were portayed
in many settings and situations, they all reflected, by the often tragic outcome
of their lives, her profound conviction that no human could be happy if that
happiness was rooted in the wretchedness of another.

FEELING OUT
Mr. Lee: What do you think of our proposition?
Mr. West: Everything seems to be in order, except one item.
Mr. Lee: What is that?
Mr. West: It's about splitting the cost of R&D. You say it
should be 50-50, but I have a different suggestion.
Mr. Lee: Well, our standard practice is 50-50, but if you are
thinking of something different, then I'm sure we can think
it over.
Mr. West: What if we specify the areas and subjects for R&D
in more detail, to begin with, and then talk about each
side's share of the cost?
Mr. Lee: All right. Give us your thoughts first, then.

The following is a list of activities that you will need to perform during the
initiation/dismissal phase of your case. Before you start your analysis, always check with
your team leader or supervisor to ensure that there are no other significant activities that
you will have to address.
1. Insert appropriate information into the Lotus Notes case tracking system.
2. Check with the ITC analyst to determine that the petition was filed on the
same date with both agencies.
3. Determine the names of your team members from OP, CCIA, and, if
appropriate, OA. Ensure that they all have a copy of the petition, and advise
them of the date for the team discussion of petition problems.
4. Analyze the petition using the "Antidumping Investigations Initiation
Checklist" found in Section VII of this chapter. Also do a like product
analysis as described in part B of section IV of this chapter. See the like
product memo written for Nails from the PRC.
5. If a draft petition was previously filed and reviewed by another analyst,
determine whether problems identified at the draft stage have been corrected.
6. Meet with your team members to discuss problem areas in the petition.
7. Arrange a meeting for the team with your supervisor or PM to review problem
areas in the petition. Determine what issues need to be brought to the
attention of the OD.
8. Set up a meeting with the OD to discuss significant problem areas.
9. Prepare a memo outlining the significant problem areas for the OD's meeting.
Have the memo approved by your supervisor or PM, and submit it to the OD
the day before the scheduled meeting.
10. After the OD meeting, advise the petitioner of all deficiencies that need to be
corrected. Set a due date for submission of supplemental information that will
allow enough time for analysis and concurrence meetings with the OD and
DAS.
11. Begin to prepare the initiation package as described below.
12. Give the initiation package to your team members for comments and then to
your supervisor or PM once the team comments are incorporated.
13. Incorporate your supervisor's or PM's comments, and set up separate meetings
with the OD and DAS. Sometimes the OD will combine his/her meeting with
the DAS's meeting. Check with your supervisor to determine if this is
appropriate.
14. Place the initiation package in the formal review chain (see Chapter 12, I.E.
for review chain information).
15. If it is determined that the petition is not adequate and a dismissal is
warranted, see section VIII of this chapter.
1. Lotus Notes

Pentagon officials tell NBC News America's global missile defense would begin, first, with technologies close at hand, like improved Patriots to shoot down short-to-medium range missiles deployed in hotspots like Korea and the Persian Gulf; followed by interceptor missiles on ships; then a land-base system that cover the entire US; and eventually lasers on airplanes or even on satellites in space to shoot down incoming ballistic missiles.
