→ 헤어졌다: part from+사람으로 하면 됩니다.
→ 만일 ~알았더라면, … 했을텐데: 사실과는 달리 가정한 경우이므로 가정법 과거완료의 형식으로 합니다. If I had been aware of his trouble, I could have helped him somehow.

Oh, come on은 Oh, don't be so careful과 같은 뜻이다. Come on은 종종
Hurry along이나 Don't delay(서둘러)의 뜻으로 쓰인다. Go across 대신에
cross만 사용해서 Let's cross here. Let's cross the street here. Look
out=Watch
out=Be careful은 모두 조심해라
는 뜻이다. Why you should cross는 간접의문문으로서 Why should you
cross?가 바뀐것이다.

A:There's the shoe store we've been looking for. It's just across the
street.

약하게 발음한다. 원래 표준영어에서는 [그책이 책상위에 있다]는 There is
the book on the desk가 아니고 The book on the desk라고 말한다. [책상위에
책이 있다]는 There is a book on the
desk라고 말한다.
그러나 생활회화에서 문법을 떠나서 지적할 때는 There is 다음에 the
쓰고 There를 강하게 발음한다.
