From short stories and poetry to novels, all are forms of literature.
These are the ways in which stories have been written down.
Although stories come in many forms, all stories have a plot, characters and theme.
The plot is the events as they unfold in the story.
The characters are the people who are affected by the happenings in the plot.
A theme is the message that the author wants to say through the characters and the plot.
단편소설과 시가에서 소설에 이르기까지, 모든 것은 문학의 형태이다.
이러한 것들은 이야기가 쓰여지는 방식이다.
이야기들이 다양한 형태를 띤다 할 지라도, 모든 이야기들은 구성, 인물 그리고 주제를 갖는다.
구성은 이야기가 전개되는 과정에서 일어나는 사건들이다.
인물은 구성상 발생하는 사건에 의해 영향을 받는 사람들이다.
주제는 인물과 구성을 통해서 작가가 전달하고자 하는 메시지이다.

Things do look up sometimes.

"Why should I study English?" objected a rebellious youth. "I know English I am
English."
But not everyone who is studying English really knows English, nor is knowing all
of the same kind. A professional ball player may know how to pitch a curve. A physicist
may know the same thing, but he will know it in quite a different way. His way of knowing
will be better, if he spent as much time in practice as the professional player, in all
likelihood he could pitch a better curve. In other words, analytic knowledge is an aid
and support to experimental knowledge.

The heart acts as a central pump to send blood throughout the body.
Great arteries that leave the heart carry the blood to smaller and
smaller arteries throughout the body. The smallest vessels are just wide
enough for a single cell to pass through. Blood returns to the heart
through the veins. It flows from smaller veins to larger veins until it
enters the heart. Oxygen and foods pass from blood to the cells of the
body. And waste products, such as carbon dioxide, pass from the body
cells to blood vessels.

◆ meet, see, encounter
meet, see,그리고 encounter 모두 '...을 만나다, 마주치다'라는 뜻을 갖고 있습니다.
meet: '...을 만나다, 마주치다'의 일반적인 뜻으로 용무 보다는 행위만이 강조.
I met him in front of my office, but we passed by each other without stopping because we were so busy at the time.
(나는 그를 나의 사무실 앞에서 만났지만, 너무 바빴기 때문에 우린 서로 그냥 지나쳤다)
If it is possible, I want to meet her one more time even if we just meet in passing.

see: 어떤 용무 때문에 만나는 경우를 뜻함.

encounter:'갑자기 마주 치다' 혹은 '우연히 만나다'의 의미.
I encountered a my old friend on my sister's wedding.
(나는 내 옛 친구를 언니의 결혼식에서 우연히 만났다)
She encountered her old students on the street yesterday.
(어제 그녀는 그녀의 옛 제자들을 길에서 우연히 만났다)
Analysts forecast that a possible bankruptcy procedure for Hyundai Engineering,
though temporarily painful for creditors and the entire economy, will accelerate
the group's restructuring in the long run, as it will lead to forced
retirement of the Chung family and the dismantling of the group.
