있으며, 도구 담당팀들은 촬영장에서 필요로 하는 물건 등을 원활하게 관리, 보급하는 일을
담당하고 있다. 연극 무대에서 '그립’은 흔히 무대 담당원(Stagehand)으로 지칭된다. 다시
요약하면 '그립’은 영화세트장의 잡다한 일을 수행하는 노동자라고도 할 수 있다.
종종 '그립'은 그들의 직업 성격에 따라 여러 가지로 세분화되는데, 즉 '건축 그립
(Construc- tion Grips)', '조명 그립(Lighting Grips)', '달리 그립(Dolly Grips, 달리 촬영시
바닥판이나 카메라가 움직일 통로 등을 설치하는 팀)' 등으로 나누어진다.
'그립'의 어원은, 건축장의 발판재료(Scof- folding), 조명 보급기(Lighting Diffusers) 등을 이용
해 자신들의 직책을 완수하는 노동자란 뜻에서 나왔다. 그럴 수밖에 없는 것이 이 단어는 건축

이 붐 오페레이터는 단순히 마이크를 대고 있는 것이 아니라, 움직이는 장면 전개에 맞게
원활히 마이크를 변동시켜 배우들의 정확한 대사음을 따내야 하는 기술이 요구되고 있다.
또한 이들은 카메라가 담는 화면의 확장성을 파악해, 촬영 도중 머리 위에서 움직이고 있는
마이크의 위치가 화면에 함께 찍히지 않도록 주의를 기울여야 한다.
이외에도 조명이 내리 비추는 위치를 파악, 마이크의 그림자가 세트장에서 눈에 띄는 것을
미연에 방지해야 하는 등 세심한 요령이 요구되고 있다.

촬영장에서 소요되는 전기 공급을 책임지는 전기 부문 수석 담당자(Head Electrician).
흔히 '개퍼'는 심부름하는 소년인 '고퍼(Gofer)'와 혼동할 수 있으나 개퍼는 스태프 중에 상
당히 존경받는 인물 중의 하나이다.
그는 촬영 감독의 능력을 발휘하게 해주는 최대의 협력자인데, 각 장면을 효과적으로 살려
주는 데에도 조명의 역할이 절대적이기 때문이다.
