National Semiconductor Corp., which earlier this year exited the PC
processor business due to intense competition, is hosting an Information
Appliance Pavilion where 15 companies will be showing devices based on
its new Geode chip, such as AOL's TV set-top box for accessing the Net,
AOL TV.

Some Bay Area military contractors have actually found a new source of
life beyond the military. Ford Aerospace and Communications Corp., a
part of Ford Motor Co., designed and manufactured communication

leading provider of software that allows people to send electronic
messages in 14 languages via wireless phones and other devices.

Tegic Communications was founded in 1995 and has been backed by Craig
McCaw's Eagle River Inc. investment fund, among other funders.

대주주다.
It will continue to operate as a separate business unit in Seattle.
이 회사는 이번 인수 뒤에도 독립 기업으로 남게 된다.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
