One question is whether the president's answer to political restructuring is
contributing more to a freezing in relations with the opposition rather than a
thawing of political hostilities.

군대에서 쓰이는 용어로 대포알을 의미하였으나 이것이 변하
여 big shot이 되었다. 반대개념으로는 small shot이 있다.
small shot : 소총탄; 소총탄으로 무장한 부대
ex) Mr. Kim is a big shot politician.

Legend has it that John F. Kennedy decided to enter politics one evening after a
long conversation with his father. Joe, Sr. was supposed to have told Jack that since
Joe, Jr. had given his life for his country during the war, it was now up to
Jack to uphold the family's tradition of political public service. The entire family would support Jack, his
father said. And as the story goes, Jack heeded his father's urging, and decided to enter politics on
the spot.
But the truth is somewhat different. Certainly there was a political tradition in
the Kennedy
family. To be sure, Joe, Sr. wanted to see this tradition carried on, and certainly
he felt it
should be carried by Jack since Joe had died. But this is all too simple - for it takes
everything into account except the one most important thing - the remarkable
personality of Jack Kennedy.

그러나 사실은 이와는 다소 다르다. 확실히 케네디 가문에는 정치적인
전통이 있었다. 분명히, 죠우 1세는 그러한 전통이 이어져나가기를 원했고,
확실히 그는 그것이 죠우가 죽었으므로 H에 의해서 이어져나가야 된다고
생각했다. 그러나 이것은 전적으로 너무 단순한 얘기다. 왜냐하면 이것은
