According to the Bank of Korea(BOK) on March 4, the bankruptcy rate of
the notes in Seoul was 0.11 percent in February, a 0.02 percentage point
decrease than the 0.13 percent recorded in January 1999 and the lowest level
since the 0.10 percent of November 1996.

예탁결제원에 따르면 전자증권제도 도입에 따른 경제적 효과를 분석한 결과 5년간 연평균 1809억원, 누적 9045억원의 비용을 절감하는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
