misdiagnosed as retarded or emotionally disturbed.

있다-에디슨, 아인슈타인, 패튼 장군, 넬슨 라커펠러, 그리고 브루스
제너처럼. 그러나 이들은 흔히 정신적인 발육이 늦거나 정서적으로 불안한
아이로 잘못 진단(판정)을 받는다.

Investigators who have studied very young children in school overwhelmingly present
a grim picture. The child too often stumbles insecurely through kindergarten and the
early grades. His friends who were delayed a year or so quickly catch up and pass him -
usually become most stable and highly motivated. His learning retention frequently
remains lower than that if his later-starting peers, regardless of how bright he is. In
other words, it is hard to escape the conclusion that early schooling is little short
of crippling.

무엇보다 저학년 교실에서는 다양한 변수가 발생할 수 있어 도상훈련이 아닌 현장 훈련이 필요하다는 지적이 나왔다.
