East Timorese students here and in Jakarta have been rallying
for the past two weeks to demand a referendum as well as the
release of Gusmao.
Indonesian troops invaded East Timor in 1975 and Jakarta
annexed the former Portuguese colony the following year but
the United Nations and most states still view Lisbon as the
official administrator of the territory.

동티모르와 자카르타에 있는 동티모르인 학생들은 구즈마오의

인도네시아군은 75년 동티모르를 침공했고 인도네시아 정부는

대부분의 국가들은 여전히 동티모르의 공식 행정권이 포르투갈
정부에 있는 것으로 간주하고 있다.
한인 환자도 예외 없이 현지 지정병원으로 이송되는데, 현재 자카르타 도심 병원들은 병실이 모두 꽉 찬 것으로 알려졌다.
