편집한 원판 필름(Rush)에 음악, 효과, 해설, 대사 등을 녹음하는 것을 지칭. 흔히 더빙-인
(Dubbing-In)이라고도 한다.
더빙은 크게 두 가지로 구분된다. 첫째, 오래된 영화를 시대감각에 맞게 복원하기 위해 음
악, 대사, 특수 효과 등을 전면적으로 믹싱 하는 경우인데, 이는 1962년 프리츠 랑 감독의 <
메트로폴리스 Metropolis>를 1984년 조르지오 모로더가 색상과 음악을 삽입시킨 경우에서

사 연기자가 완벽하게 노래 솜씨를 발휘하는 것으로 속아넘어가게 되는 것이다.
