근원물가란 국제유가와 농산물 값 등 물가변동이 심한 품목을 제외하고 산출하는 물가를 의미한다.
Core prices refer to prices calculated except for items with severe price fluctuations, such as international oil prices and agricultural prices.
안형준 통계청 경제동향통계심의관은 "작년 석유가격이 낮아서 기저효과가 컸다"며 "신종 코로나바이러스 확산에 따른 물가변동까지 반영되면 올해 물가상승률은 1% 초반 정도가 유효할 것"이라고 말했다.
"The base effect was great last year due to low oil prices," said Ahn Hyung-joon, an economic trend statistics officer at the National Statistical Office, "If the price changes caused by the spread of the new Coronavirus are reflected, the inflation rate will be around 1% this year."
