conventional은 널리 퍼져 양식화된 것들을 일컫는다. 문화적인 가치부여의 개념이 없다. 그러나 traditional은 문화 전통적인 것을 일컫는다.

Resistance in particular from the vested interests may well
be felt overwhelming and pervasive as to frustrate us. For
that reason, the government's *crackdown measures alone can
not assure the success of our anti-corruption drive unless it
succeeds in enlisting the full participation of the general
public. Nor will any institutional attempt to remedy social
ills fully promise the eradication of social corruptions.
Viable solutions may be to address the cultural factors
contributing to the fostering of those corruptions.
기득권에서의 엄청난 저항이 우리를 좌절시키기 위해 왜곡된
것처럼 느껴질 수 있다. 이런 이유로 일반 국민이 전적으로
참여하도록 유도하는데 성공하지 못한다면 정부의 강경
조처만으론 부정방지 운동의 성공을 보장할 수 없다. 사회악의
완전한 치유를 위한 기관 차원에서의 노력이 사회부패의 근절을
약속해주진 못한다. 실효성 있는 해결법은 그러한 부정부패의
양성에 기여하는 문화적인 요소에 접근하는 것일지도 모른다.
