검찰은 A씨가 허위자료로 일부러 더 많은 보험금을 타내려 한 게 아닌지 조사한 뒤 기소유예 처분을 내렸다.
The prosecution suspended the indictment after investigating whether Mr. A intentionally tried to win more insurance money with false data.
앞서 A씨는 서울 서초구 모 병원 개설명의인으로 의사 B씨가 복수 의료기관을 개설·운영하는데 가담했다는 혐의로 지난 2015년 기소유예 처분을 받았다.
Previously, Mr. A was suspended from prosecution in 2015 for allegedly participating in the opening and operation of a multi-medical institution by doctor B, who was the founder of a hospital in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
재판부는 "A씨의 경우 관련 규칙상 자격정지 2개월이 기본이지만 기소유예 결정이 감경사유로 참작된 것"이라며 "A씨가 받을 불이익이 공익상 필요보다 크다고 보기 어렵다"고 밝혔다.
The court said, "In the case of A, the suspension of his qualification should be minimum for two months, but the decision to suspend his indictment was taken into account for reasons of reduction," adding, "It is hard to say that the disadvantage he will receive is greater than necessary for the public interest."
