코스로 전환되어서 글리코젠으로 저장된다. CH2OH(CHOH)4CHO. 유당에서 효소의 작용에
의하거나 무기산과 함께 끓여서 얻어지는 백색결정성 물질. 성질은 글루코스와 유사하나 용
해도와 단맛이 작다. D형은 유당, 뇌의 cerebrosides, raffinose, 고무 및 해조에 있으며 L형
은 아마인의 점질물 중에 있다.

glycosuria (당뇨) 요중에 이상량의 글루코스가 출현하는 것. 특히 요로 24시간에 1g 이상
대량의 당이 배설되는 것.
