대법원 2부는 29일 제주의료원 간호사 A씨 등 4명이 근로복지공단을 상대로 제기한 요양급여반려처분취소 소송 상고심 선고에서 사건을 서울고법으로 파기환송했다.

이후 A씨는 요양급여를 신청했으나, 근로복지공단은 "알려지지 않은 기초 질병이 악화해 뇌경색이 발병한 것으로 보일 뿐, 업무와의 인과관계가 인정되지 않는다"며 거부했다.
After that, Mr. A applied for medical care expenses, but Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service refused, saying, "It seems that a cerebral infarction has occurred due to a worsening of an unknown basic disease, and the causal relationship with the work is not recognized."
강순희 근로복지공단 이사장은 "코로나19 산재 신청을 포함해 업무상 재해를 당한 노동자가 적기에 적절한 보상을 받을 수 있도록 산재 신청 절차를 지원할 것"이라고 말했다.
Kang Soon-hee, chairman of the Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service, said, "We will support the industrial accident application process so that workers who suffered occupational injuries, including the COVID-19 industrial accident application, can receive appropriate compensation in a timely manner."
지난 28일 하루 동안 127명이 영남대병원, 대구가톨릭대병원, 대구보훈병원, 근로복지공단 대구병원 등에 입원됐지만 자가에서 입원 대기 중인 환자가 아직 1304명이나 된다.
