→ We know how much the rivers are (polluted by research)로 하면「조사결과 그 강이 얼마나 오염되어 있나를 우리는 안다. 」이때 how much polluted의 much는 필요 없다.
→「How+형용사+a+명사」와 달리,「how+과거분사 부사/형용사」는 극히 일반적으로 사용된다.

참고로, 'wed' 라는 단어가 동사로 '결혼하다', 즉 'marry' 의 뜻으로 쓰이기도 하지만 근래에는 드물게 되었습니다.

mechlorethamine (메클로레타민) 최초의 nitrogen mustard P 알킬화 항암제이다. 심한 국소
작용 때문에 메클로레타민은 임상적으로 정맥내로 투여하며, 투여후 체내에서 몇분 이내에
물 혹은 세포성분과 결합하여 불활성 화합물로 변한다. 따라서 특정 부위로 가는 혈액순환
을 일시적으로 차단하면 정상 조직의 손상을 막을 수 있으면 또한 암조직에 분포되는 동맥
내로 직접 주사하여 약물을 국소에 농축시킬 수 있다. 호지킨병(악성 육아종증)에 유효하며
다른 임파종에도 효과적이다. 그러나 제 3∼4기의 호지킨병에 대하여는 vincristine,
procarbazine, prednisone과 혼합하여 사용한다. 균상 식육종에 0.25% 희석 용액을 도포한다.
주된 독작용은 오심, 구토, 백혈구 감소증, 혈소판 감소증 등이며 가끔 피부발적 그리고 여
성은 월경불순, 기형아 출산 등을 초래할 수 있다. 근래엔 백혈병 및 기타 골수증식 질환에
의 사용 빈도가 줄어들고 있으며 기관지, 난소, 유방암 등의 치료도 다른 약물로 대치되고
있다.
