교대근무

-> "Graveyard Shift가 심야근무라는 뜻이라고 하던데 왜그렇죠?"
=> graveyard shift는 하루 8시간씩 일하는 3교대 시간제에서
밤 12시부터 아침8시까지의 심야근무를 말하는 것입니다.
graveyard는 문제지라는 뜻이죠. 그리고 shift는 교대근무를
뜻하죠. 그러니까 graveyard shift 다른말로 graveyard watch
라고도 하는데요. graveyard watch라고하는것은 원래 야간
경비 야간 당직을 뜻하는 말이거든요. 야간 경비나 당직에
왜 graveyard라는 무시무시한 말을 붙였을까? 그건 심야시간
대에 사건이 많이 일어나서 마치 문제지에서 경비보는 것과 같이
긴장되고 으스스하다는 것과 또 이시간이 적막하고 고요해서
문제지가 연상된다고 해서 붙여진 것입니다.

당시 조사 결과를 보면 제주의료원은 노동강도도 높고 교대근무가 불규칙한데다 인력도 부족해 이직률이 높았다.
