가끔 쓰는데 이것은 운동 선수가 득점과 연결되는 어떤 동작을

응원의 말이다. 그리고 관중 앞에 나와 응원을 하는 사람들을
cheer leaders라 하는데 특히 색종이를 들고 춤추는 응원
아가씨들을 pom pom girls라고도 부른다. 응원한다는 말은
'root for'라 한다.
≫ +α의 유래 -① 일본 야구경기에서 처음 사용-9회말 경기를 하지않고
경기를 끝냈을 경우 전광판에 승리팀 점수 뒤에 +Χ로
표시를 했었는데(여기서 Χ는 변수) 관중이 이를 +α로
잘못봐서 그 이후부터 +α(정해진것 보다 약간 많은 미
정량의 분량) 로 쓰였다고 하는군요.
