영어연극을 하는데 대사 중에 " It's a shooting gallery in here, and
I'm the pigeon. " 이란 말을 '꼭 바늘방석에 앉은 것만 같다' 라고 번
역이 되어 있었습니다.

'shooting gallery'는 사격 연습장을 말합니다.
이 곳에서는 진흙으로 만든 비둘기(clay pigeons) 들이 있어서 이것이 어
떤 장치에 의해 공중으로 튀어오르면 쏘아 맞추게 되어있습니다.
그러니 " It's a shooting gallery in here, and I'm the pigeon (여기는

원래 hung jury는 a jury that is hung으로 hung이 형용사로
쓰여진 겁니다.
미국의 관습법상 형사 소송인 경우에는 배심원들의 만장일치를
필요로 합니다. 단 한 사람이라도 반대하면 판결을 내릴 수가
없습니다. hung jury 대신에 split jury 분열된 배심원이라고도
합니다. 그런데 여기서 조심해야 할 것은 hung jury와 hanging
jury를 혼동하는 것이죠. hang이라는 말은 교수형을 시키다란
뜻도 있으므로 hanging jury는 교수형을 시키는 배심원 즉,
쉽게 사형선고를 내리는 배심원을 말합니다.

요구되던가 또는 단지 하나의 진단만이 시간 경과와 진찰 상담시의 치료방침에 따라 결정된다.

집을 떠난다는거나 상점이나 군중이 많이 모이는 공공장소에 들어가거나 기차로 홀로 여행하는
것을 두려워하는 공포증. 돌연한 공포장애는 과거와 현재의 흔한 에피소드의 형태이다. 우울성, 강박
성 증상, 사회 공포증등은 일반적으로 이런 장애의 부수적 형태를 취한다. 공포성 상황에 대한 도피가
뛰어나서 어떤 광장 공포증 환자에서는 그들의 공포 상황을 잘 피할 수 있기 때문에 불안을 거의

Federal investigators denouncing those who continue to put forward
conspiracy theories in the midair explosion of TWA flight 800
back in 1996. Missile theory is still being talked up.
Investigators say it was an explosion in the plane's center fuel
tank that triggered the disaster. Cause still unknown.

the limits of current technology. And accounting of the scientific
uncertainties was meticulously maintained throughout the entire

There are no survivors from a plane crash in northern Costa
Rica this weekend. Ten people were onboard when the plane was
lost yesterday crashing into (a cal…) a volcano. An official
with National Aerial Services says all the bodies have been
found and at least 3 were Americans. Officials have said the
plane sent an emergency signal before the crash but they're
expressing dismay about the cause.
