Ａ： 미국은 고등학교까지 의무교육인데 대부분의 학생들은 공립학교를
다닌다. 그러나 부유한 집안의 자녀들은 혹 사립학교를 다니기도 하
는데.. 입학시험을 치고 학비도 비싸다.. 이들 학교는 전통이나 규
율을 중요시한다. 당연히 학생들의 학력도 높다. 전원이 기숙사 생
활을 하는데 이런 학교를 "Boarding School"이라고 하고, 집에서 통
학하는 "Day school", 대학입시를 목적으로 하는 "Preparatory
school"도 있다. 학교 나름대로의 특성이 있다. 스쿨타이 도 보스
톤의 사립학교이다. 그러나 평범한 학교를 나와도 얼마든지 출세하
고 긍적적으로 세상을 찾아갈 수 있다.
