양키본드(Yankee Bond):미국이 아닌 정부나 공공기관 또는 일반기업체가
미국자본시장에서 달러화로 발행하는 채권. 일본이외의 국가정부나
공공기관 또는 일반기업체가 일본시장에서 엔화로 발행하는 채권을
사무라이 본드라고 부르는 것도 마찬가지다.
미국자본시장은 규모도 크지만 매우 안정돼 있어 금리조건을 유리하게 할
수 있다. 우리나라의 경우 서울시 등이 양키본드를 발행한적은 있으나
일반기업이 양키본드를 발행한 것은 최근 SK텔레콤의 2억3천만달러가
처음이다.
양키본드는 발행절차 자체가 까다롭고 엄격한 신용평가를 거쳐
일정수준이상의 등급을 받아야하기 때문에 양키본드를 발행했다는 한가지
사실만으로도 해당기관 또는 기업체의 공신력이 인정됐다고 볼수 있는 부수
효과가 있다.

국어기본법에 주요 공공기관의 한글 오용에 대한 강력한 규제를 비롯해 '한글 지킴이'라 할 수 있는 국립국어연구원, 국어연구자, 국어교육자들에 대한 실질적인 지원방안이 담겨야 한다.
This is because their actions will decide the outcome of Hangeul.
결국은 그들이 어떻게 하느냐에 따라 한글의 성패(成敗)가 결정될 것이기 때문이다.
Of course citizens should have a strong willingness to comply with the rules.
일반 국민들이 한글의 규칙을 준수하겠다는 강한 의지를 다시 한번 다짐해야 함은 말할 것도 없다.
Remember that Hangeul is a language created by our own.
