Driving fast last Monday, I was pulled over by a police officer.
The officer noticed that my shirt had the name of a local secondary school on it.
“I teach math,” I explained.
He smiled and said, “OK. Here's a problem. A teacher is speeding on the highway at 25 kilometers over the limit.
At $12 for every kilometer over the limit, plus $40 court costs, what is her total cost?”
I replied, “taking that total, subtracting the low salary I receive, multiplied by the number of kids that hate math,
then adding to that the fact that none of us would be anywhere without teachers, I'd say zero.”
He handed me back my license, “Actually, math was never my favourite subject. Please slow down.”

hot, summer day. Every year Americans eat more than four billion
ice-cream cones. Did you know that the ice-cream cone was invented by
accident ? St. Louis was having a world's fair in 1904. Ice cream was a
big seller. One person selling ice-cream ran out of dishes and didn't
know what to do. Luckily, a person nearby, who was selling waffles,
suggested rolling a waffle and putting the ice cream inside. It was an
instant success.

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent,
a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that
all men are created equal.

그리고 만민이 평등하게 창조되었다는 신조를 위해 모든것을 바친,
새나라를 창건했습니다.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation
or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are
met on a great battle-field of that war.
현재 우리는 일대 시민전쟁에 휩쓸려, 이 나라가, 혹은 또 그와 같이
태어나서 그렇게 바친 어느 나라든지, 길이 존속할 수 있느냐 없느냐

struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add
