English literature of Korea must be regarded as of Korean Sciences because it has been taught to Korean Language at least for forty years. As it is a completely koreanized science like electro engineering politics and library science, I believe it is quite natural for korean scholars to write about it in korean language for the easy understanding of Korean people. Translation without interpretation of footnotes on it is likely to be hard to understand. So it is sometimes rather convenient to read the source language text in itself. As a result translation seems less useful. We cannot make the foreign words ours just by changing them into Korean.

ISBN 위원회로부터 국별번호 89번을 지정받아 국내실무작업
추진중이라고 합니다.앞으로 실행이 되면 국내의 모든 책에
이런 표시가 들어가겠죠. 분류의 편리를 위한 장치라고 해야
겠죠.

책의 표지를 살펴보면은 ISBN 다음에 숫자를 쭉 쓴것을 볼수가
있는데, 이것을 ISBN CODE라고 하죠. 이것은 International
Standard Book Number의 약자로서 국제표준 도서번호를 가르키는
것입니다. ISBN은코드로서 책을 분류한 세계공통의 코드로서 이
안에는 국명, 출판자,도서명, 이와 같은 등등의 정보를 10개의 숫
자로 표시를 하고 있죠.예를 들어서, ISBN 89-7200-012-4 라고 하
면, 89는 국명, 7200은 발행자 번호, 012는 도서명 식별번호, 4는
체크 디지트를 나타내고 있습니다.

In the late 1950s a watch-assembly industry sprang up in the U.S. Virgin Islands in
response to a tariff incentive permitting duty-free entry of U.S. insular products. By
1965 duty-free watch shipments from the Virgin Islands accounted for more than 10
percent of U.S. consumption of watches, prompting Congress to place a ceiling on
insular watches at that level. Even under this restriction, the industry became an
important contributor to the economic health of not only the Virgin Islands but Guam
and American Samoa as well.

Changing economic circumstances brought bad times to the industry, however, by the
early 1980s. Watch industry employment plummeted. Congress, recognizing the

producers. The industry has rebounded, although employment levels remain below the level
achieved in the 1970s.

As a new analyst, it would be helpful for you to do the following:
1. Visit the DOC's Trade Reference Room.

4. Establish contact with people you know at other agencies which interface with IA,
i.e., U.S. Customs, the ITC, and the U.S. Trade Representative. They may be able

5. Become familiar with the source of AD and CVD law, including: the AD and CVD
statue (Title VII of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended); the DOC regulations for
antidumping duties (19 CFR 351), the explanatory preamble to the proposed and
final regulations, 61 FR 7308 (Feb. 27, 1996) and 62 FR 2796 (May 19, 1997), the
Statement of Administrative Action (the legislative history of the URAA, printed
in House Document 103-316, vol.1); the WTO Antidumping Agreement (reprinted
in H. Doc 103-316, vol. 1 at page 1453)..
6. Attend as many IA and ITA training sessions as possible.
7. Attend a case hearing at the the DOC and the ITC.
8. Attend as many case-related meetings as possible.
9. Assist on as many different dumping proceeding actions as you can.
10. Maintain a case work file and index.
11. Prepare a court record.
12. Visit the IA Central Records Unit in Rooms B-099 and 1870 and the
Administrative Protective Order Office in Room 1870.
13. Go on a product-familiarization trip to a production facility.
14. Go on a verification trip.
15. Visit a U.S. Customs field office in a city where you are verifying to see how
Customs implements our directives for investigations and administrative reviews.

of the islands. Also good news for the Dominican republic
which lies immediately to the west of Puerto Rico. Here's
Max Mayfield in national hurricane center in Miami. ---
The center is very close to the large islands like Puerto Rico
and Hezbanella that blocks off the inflow from the south and
the Caribbean. And they have a hard time strengthening and
in fact they often even, uh, weakened somewhat. In this case
as seen looks to us like it's gonna stay far enough off, uh,
these, uh, to the north of these islands and we sure do
indeed see some strengthening. With 75-mile-an-hour winds,
Debby apparently caused little damage on Antigua and other
small islands in the Caribbean.

Tropical storm Debby has brought rain and gusty winds to the
Dominican Republic and Haiti. The mountains of the islands
shared by those 2 countries caused the storm to lose a lot of
its punch. National Hurricane Center director Max Mayfield
says the storm's top winds are down to 50 miles an hour
as it moves towards Cuba.
--- The good news tonight is that it has indeed weakened,
and we're not gonna put up any watches or warnings for
southeast Florida. If the center continues to maintain its
identity as it moves over to Cuba with the next, of active
through tonight, we might end up putting up a tropical storm
watch or even a warning for the Florida Keys early tomorrow
morning. Officials in the Keys are not taking any chances.
They've closed schools and ordered visitors back to the
mainland because of the storm.
