A ball game is not over until it is over 사람 팔자 시간 문제다.
A ball game is not over until it is over란 말이 생겼을
The opera's never over till the fat lady sings란

``Our party will not accept any irrational, one-sided demands
from the opposition to change the rules of the game,'' he said.

In the old days, pro sports were looked coldly upon. However, in the
world-wide TV era everybody wants to watch the world's best compete. The
International Olympic Committee felt it was forced to admit professionals to

"World's Best" means money and fame.

Hand in the cap

I told them, "If I don't win any money this first one I go to, I'm done with gaming.
Gaming will still be a hobby in the background,
but I will not pursue to train eight-plus hours a day to basically win these tournaments."

My goal is basically to get back into gaming, get back to the gaming community I started from.
Basically from the roots, from where I started.
And I want to sponsor other gamers, give them the life that I had already, the last five years.
I plan on doing this for another five or ten years as well. It's been amazing.

Let's play a game.
What game is it today?
We won the game 3 to nothing.
We lost the game 2 to 5.
The game ended in a tie.
How do we make teams?
Let's draw lots.
Let's decide with rocks-papers-scissors.

S1 : What game is it today?
T : A guessing game. First of all, let's make teams. Any good idea?
S2 : Rocks-papers-scissors.
T : Anyone who wins is team "A." The others are team "B." Sounds good?
S1 : Why not?
T : Then, play rocks-papers-scissors with your partner. Are you finished?
S1 : Yes.
T : Now listen carefully to what I am saying and guess the word. Do you understand?
S1 : Of course. I'm sure I'll know the answer.
T : Great! Today team "A" won the guessing game 4 to 1. Congratulations!

First, I'll show you how to play this game.
Can you give us an example?
Make five teams of four or five.
This half of the class is team A and this half is team B.
Which team will go first?
You're almost there. / You've almost got it.
Can you give us a hint?
One more time. / Let's keep playing(going)./ Let's play again.
Let's do another one.(한 번 더 해요.
The first team to score/get ten points wins the game.
If your team wins the game, you'll get a prize.

T : Now, we are going to play "Word Game'.
I'll divide the class into two teams. This is team A. And this is team B. Does everyone know which team they are on?
Ss : Okay.
T : Then I'll explain how to play the game.
Please pay attention and listen carefully.
First, ...
S1 : Give us an example, please.
T : All right.

T : You look sleepy and bored.
S1 : How about playing the game "Simon Says"?
T : Sounds great! Do you know all the rules?
Ss : Of course.
T : Simon says, "Jump up three times."
Ss : (Jumping up three times)
T : Scratch your head.
S2 : (Scratching his head)
T : Tae-su! I didn't say "Simon says" but you moved.
Go to the back of the class.

S1 : Let's go eat Labogi.
S2 : Well, I am broke.
S1 : Then it's on me. I didn't have breakfast.
S2 : I did, so I am not hungry.
S1 : Hey! I said I'd pay. Why do you have so many excuses? Just go with me.
S2 : Okay.
S1 : But you pay for the game room, since I am paying for the snacks.
S2 : Okay. I guess I will borrow money from my friends.

Russians are big soap opera fans :
one of the most popular TV shows that ever aired in Russia was a Mexican soap opera called 'The Rich Also Cry.'
It was the story of a rich and powerful man who married his beautiful maid.
Russian viewers also love Russian game shows, music videos, and broadcasts from the parliament.
In fact, when the Russian government first aired a daily broadcast of its parliament in 1989,
people were so interested that they stayed home from work to watch it.

Computer crime has become a big problem of the world that is likely to continue far into the future.
Computer criminals are often quite different from other kinds of criminals.
According to some experts, these criminals seem to lock themselves away from other people and live in their own fantasy “microworlds.”
They are also generally quite young.
They break into others' computers in order to steal, add, or change information.
For many of them, this is a kind of game, a part of their fantasy life.
However, it is a dangerous “game,” and, as a result, many individuals and corporations are very concerned about computer security.

Jennie Ruiz is a computer genius.
When she was only four years old, she began using her brother's computer.
Just using the computer was not enough for Jennie, though.
Soon, she was making up her own computer games.
She would get an idea for a game.
Then she would write a program for it.
News about Jennie's exciting games spread quickly.
Now, Jennie has her own computer business.
She creates games, and sells them in stores all over the area.
“That's just the beginning,” she says, pointing to a keyboard and screen on her desk.
“Soon I'll be selling the JennieⅠ,” she says.
“It's wonderful. And it's just for kids.”
Jennie Ruiz
Jennie

2. to force somebody to leave: The landlord had turned them out when they couldn't pay the rent.

On the first day, I and a co-worker went into the store after work.
Needless to say, everything looked good.
The store was pretty well stocked.
We both took mental notes of things we'd eventually get.
We wisely decided not to buy anything on that day.
We had plenty of time.
We walked around leisurely, eyeing different items.
I said to myself, “Here are some cheap computer games.
That pair of roller blades for $25 looks good, too.
That battery-powered electric shaver could sure come in handy.”
Yes, we were there to see the goods and to plan our purchases for the last day of the sale, when the prices would be really low.

Success is the act of trying to improve upon the things you're already doing.
It's growing and developing.
It's accepting bigger and greater challenges.
It's not being afraid of making a mistake, suffering a setback, or failing.
It's trying to do your very best.
And if, in the end, your very best wasn't quite good enough, you just have to go back to work and prepare a bit harder for the next time.
Nobody succeeds 100 percent in anything they do.
When you're able to recognize and accept this fact of life, you realize that failure and losing are as much a part of the game of life as are success and winning.

If anyone, including the police, decides to drive down High Point Street on any summer night, he will find it too dangerous to pass.
The potholes have been fixed, but the speeding motorbikers are turning the narrow street into a race track as they try to outrun each other.
The bikers are roaring along the High Point Street without any police enforcement.
The police don't seem to have seen any reason to slow down the speeding motorcycles racing through the street.
It seems like a waiting game: either this summer will end without anyone getting injured, or the speeding bikes will cause a fatal accident.
There is a lot of time left in the summer season.
The city police must take immediate action for our safety.

What makes a person really attractive?
I remember seeing Omar Sharif in Doctor Zhivago and Lawrence of Arabia.
At that time, I thought he was astoundingly handsome.
But when I saw him being interviewed on television some months later, and heard him declare that his only interest in life was playing bridge,
to my great amazement he was transformed before my eyes into an astoundingly unappealing man.
Although a person's good looks may get our attention, it is not an impression that necessarily lasts.

Children's play has been defined as the aimless expenditure of excessive energy.
Many people do not realize, however, that play can foster development in a number of areas.
For example, playing kickball not only helps physical development by promoting gross motor skills, it also cultivates social interaction among peers.
To discuss and agree to the rules of the game, children must use language for communication.
Having fun and playing as a group promotes self-esteem and teaches skills such, teamwork, cooperation, and leadership.
So the next time you see children play, do not think of it as a meaningless activity, think of it as a process of learning.

Many superstitions abound in Chinese culture about brooms.
The use of brooms should only be for cleaning the house, shop, etc.
Traditional Chinese culture holds that a broom is inhabited by a spirit, thus explaining why it should not be used for games, playing, etc.
The broom should not be used for cleaning the household gods or altar as this is disrespectful.
These objects are cleaned with a cloth or a special small brush.
During the Spring Festival, Chinese custom prohibits the use of the broom for three days from New Year's Day,
as it is thought that the use of it will sweep away good luck.

Most young people enjoy some form of physical activity.
It may be walking, cycling or swimming, or, in winter, skating or skiing.
It may be a game of some kind―football, hockey, golf, or tennis.
It may be mountaineering.

Those who have a passion for climbing high and difficult mountains are often looked upon with astonishment.
Why are men and women willing to suffer cold and hardship, and to take risks on high mountains?
This astonishment is caused, probably, by the difference between mountaineering and other forms of activity to which men give their leisure.
Mountaineering is a sport and not a game.
There are no man-made rules, as there are for such games as golf and football.
There are, of course, rules of a different kind which it would be dangerous to ignore, but it is this freedom from man-made rules that makes mountaineering attractive to many people.
Those who climb mountains are free to use their own methods.

Mrs. Smith had never been much of a Sports fan―unlike her husband and two children.
On weekends others would take in either a baseball or a football game, while she stayed home alone.
After a while the situation became a source of great annoyance to her.
One weekend, to the utter amazement of her husband and children, she announced that she wanted to attend the football game with them.
She thought, If you can't beat them, join them.
Mrs. Smith realized that since she could not talk her family out of attending the games, she might as well join them in one of their favorite pastimes.
By joining her family on the weekends she would alleviate her loneliness, and in time she might even come to like sports as much as her husband and children did.

The tales of videomania are universal. In downtown Rio, a young messenger

The firm I work for had had some difficult labor negotiations, but
eventually a new contract was ratified. Not long after, we were at
a company softball game, and the fellow at bat swung at the ball

"Couldn't you just say, 'Not a ball' ?"

On a plane trip, I took along my 18-old son, Jonathan. As a business
traveler, I understood the grimacing faces I saw as we boarded the
7 a.m. flight. I vowed that my son wouldn't create a disturbance.
I read to him, played games and constantly kept him occupied.
When the flight was almost over and I had just congratulated myself
that Jonathan hadn't cried once, one businessman turned to me and
said, "Your son has been great, but you are driving me out of my mind."

What do you say to playing a few games of tennis with me?

How many times have you heard it said, "Just believe you can do it and
you can!" It's the act of believing that is the starting force or
generating action that leads great men and women to accomplishment. "Come
on, men, we can beat them," shouts someone in command. Whether in a game,
or on a battlefield, that sudden voicing of belief reverses the tide. "I
can do it.... I can do it.... I can do it!"

During the baseball game I missed an easy ball. This made me so
embarrassed that I just stood there without knowing what to do. To my
dismay, the other team scored three runs. After the game, the coach
shouted at me, "You should never do that again!" I answered,
hesitatingly, "I won't. I'll never miss such an easy ball again."
"Miss?" He yelled. "You'll miss lots. That's not the problem. It's what
you did after. While you were standing there, how many runs did the other
team score?"

In general, every achievement requires trial and error. A youth, we need
not feel ashamed of making mistakes in trying to find or win our place in
a social group. It is not easy to learn to fit into a group or to develop
a personality that helps us to fit in. It is somewhat like learning to
play a game like baseball or basketball. We can hardly expect to learn
without making a good many mistakes in the process.

Yester-me yester-you yesterday - Stevie Wonder(오늘의 팝송
Yester-me yester-you yesterday
What happened to the world we knew
When we dream and scheme and while the time away
Yester-me yester-you yesterday
Where did it go?
That yester-clou(?)
When we could feel the wheel of life turn our way
Yester-me yester-you yesterday
I had a dream, so did you
Life was warm and love was true
Two kids who followed all the rules
Yester-fools
And now
Now it seems those yester-dreams
For just a cruel and foolish game we used to play
Yester-me yester-you yesterday
When I recall all we had
I feel lost I feel sad
We'd nothing but the memory of yester-love

Again
Janet Jackson
I heard from a friend today, and she
said you were in town
suddenly the memories came back to me in
my mind
(Chorus);
How can I be strong I've asked myself
time and time I've said
that I'll never fall in love with you again
a wounded heart you gave,
my soul you took away
Good intentions you had many,
I know why you did
I come from a place that hurts,
God knows how I've cried
and I never want to return
never fall again
making love to you felt so good and
oh so right
(Chorus);
How can I be strong I've asked myself
time and time I've said
that I'll never fall in love with you again
so here we are alone again,
didn't think I'd come to this
and to know it all began
with just a little kiss
I've come too close to happiness,
to have it swept away
don't think I can take the pain
no never fall again
kinda late in the game
and my heart is in the hands
don't you.
