[比較] warrant, warranty, guarantee, guaranty
warrant와 guarantee는 같은 어원에서 온 이중어(doublet)로, 무엇이 안전한가 진짜인가를 가리키는 경우 흔히 바뀌어 쓰인다. warrant는 ‘어떤 물건이 겉으로 보기에는 똑같다, 주장대로 진짜다라는 보증을 하다’를 의미한다.
