To the question, what freedom is, we can hardly find only one answer which is accepted by everyone and keeps one exclusive meaning. In the point of law freedom means that man should not be arrested or retained by force and should not or need not take measure by means of political pressures including warfare. Such freedom means that there is always a certain possibility of deciding and executing their politics for individuals, social groups and organizations on the basic of their own concerns.

The lovemaking of the two young people is almost a kind of warfare

Because the Pacific theater in World War II involved amphibious warfare, one of the great problems was to maintain effective liaisons among the land, sea, and air forces.

The carnage that can be caused by atomic warfare adds to the responsibilities of our statesmen.

Earlier centuries showed that mobility was important in warfare.
For example, the Japanese yielded to the Americans upon seeing their steam-driven warships.
The Russians lost the Crimean War partly because they lacked the railroads to move men and equipment to the front.
In World War I, trucks transported troops and materials fast, and diesel-powered ships carried equipment swiftly over the seas.
Attacks against these forms of transportation, therefore, became important.
For example, the Arabs cut the railroad in Arabia and defeated the Ottoman Turks.

Man is one of the most formidable of all animals and the only one who persistently
chooses to attack his own species. Throughout history, he has never, except for short
periods of time, dispensed with fierce warfare.

"They are aiming at the whole of Central and possibly later South America
and, I'm sure, eventually North America. What we're doing is trying to stop
this destabilizing force of guerrilla warfare and revolution from being
exported in here."

When the first colonists arrived in North America the hand of friendship
was extended by the red man, agreements were drawn up and boundaries
were laid down. As time passed, however, more and more of the Indian
lands were swallowed up by the white settlers. Humiliated and confused,
the red man was pushed further west until there was scarcely enough room
for him in a land that was rightfully his. Some of the greatest and most
far-sighted of the Indian chiefs saw that the only chance for the Indians
was in uniting the tribes against their common enemy. But the habits of
the Indians made this impossible. Inter-tribal warfare was their way of
life.
